Apparently I have another 2 on the way!!!

One for the 20th Dec and one for 27th Dec, but surely the 20th one would have arrived before the one for 23rd??

    Crying shame

    Actually send this

    Dear Gemini
    Re PCN xxxx

I am the registered keeper of vehicle xxxx. The Notice to Keeper you delivered is not compliant with paragraph 9 of Schedule 4 of the POFA and you cannot hold me liable for your purported charge.
I invite you to accept this challenge and cancel your demand or reject it and issue a POPLA verification code at the same time to enable POPLA to cancel it for you .

No further correspondence will be entered into

    Yours
    Reginald Keeper

Should I really say this? At the end should I put my name or just 'registered keeper'.
  • You deal with each separately and in exactly the same way

Keep proof of posting ( free from post office ) , first class post .
    Keep copies of each
  • Doh !
    You put your name !
Just a squiggle though , not your proper signature

Haha, Long story short this is genuinely not me. It is a friend of mine who visited a hospital with a disabled passenger on all three occasions and there was some confusion on her part about the disabled bay/badge. I have asked her to take photos and send this to me and I will mention this in he stage when I appeal to POPLA. Assuming any excuse I give in my informal appeal to the PPC will be rejected anyway....

I am merely helping her with all this as I had a similar experience 2 years ago, but Ive forgotten how it all works and don't want POPLA to reject her appeal since she has 3 fines to pay!
    Thanks

    Thanks

she does not have to pay anything at all

I would have thought that you would have learned from your previous experiences that these are not "fines", they are speculative invoices and so should not be given any creedence in law that the word "fine" brings

it wont say the word fine, they are not fines, never were and never will be either "

they are parking charge notice invoices, nothing more, you were told this in post #6

a plumber could send you or these other people an invoice for a perceived obligation or service, they would not be called fines and you would treat them in legal terms as invoices

this isnt nitpicking, its important that people learn the exact nature of these sc@ms and use the correct terminology when dealing with them

    good luck to your friend
  • Yup I know its just when you are fighting for someone else and its 3 fines...hahaha

Definitely tho I am positive they will be cancelled like my previous ones.

    Thanks!!
