Well way back when ... My parents' house was heated by open fires (or to be accurate one room was over heated by a fire and the rest of the house was freezing).
This entailed getting large amounts of coal delivered. So I can assure OP and other posters that a man and a sack of coal take up at least as much room as a man/woman and a wheelie bin. Since next door insist the ROW was originally a coal run the implication for enough space to push/pull a wheelie bin through is obvious.0 -
Just to clarify r.e. the drive, the title plan shows a distinct strip (path) of land running down the side of her house to the road, directly next to the driveway.
That path is still there at the side of the house, but at the front everything has been paved over to form one driveway large enough to fit two cars. Presumably a distinct path was there at some point but was paved over by the neighbour or one of her predecessors to allow extra car parking space.
The ROW is not mapped out on the title plan but the register states it is across the rear and north side of her house, the north side being where the path on the title plan is. So presumably the route for the ROW was intended to be across the rear of her property and along the path down the side of her house directly to the road
I have no issue with her doing what she likes with her driveway, but feel that she should allow sufficient access across it for us to move our bins.0 -

Blocking the ROW on the drive with a car is just as bad as blocking it anywhere else along its length.
The ROW has to be available to you 24/7.0
