Evening.
So cold today, went into town early on and met a friend for tea and cake, was lovely to catch up and she treated me so no cost, pottered around some shops but it was too busy for me to properly look at things, i'm still quite sore and get nervous that i'm going to get bumped into.
Bought 2 advent calenders for the kids, some slippers for a present and a bar of chocolate £11.50 spent.
Joined a shopping app shopmium on my phone, seems ok and I bought the chocolate as it was free on the app just had to scan the bar code and photo the receipt, very simple to do and once i'm back at work and have acess to more shops it should be easier for picking up more freebies.
If anyone is interested in joining my referral code is 23mi2.
New driving licence popped through the door today, so that's done for another 10 yrs, no goodies or freebies today though.
£8 redeemed from a survey site which should hit paypa1 next week, no sales on £bay but a few bids.
Hope everyone is ok.x.0 -
DS is being a complete nightmare today and has smashed the screen on his tv whilst playing xbox, I am beyond angry and told him I better not see him for the rest of the evening, I need to calm down before I dish out punishment. Altough I think I will leave his xbox and just remove his tv (if he wants a new one he can save up himself) as this will make him suffer as he has to look at the console/games but has nothing to play it on.
I'm sure its these games that make boys aggressive, I don't even let him play fighting games/18 games, it seems to be f1fa that makes him really bad, anyone else find this?0 -
Mine both get very frustrated with computer games, like yours they are not allowed the dark and nasty ones but they still get frustrated when they don't 'win'. My eldest is always mortified afterwards that he broke something or shouted but the red mists come down and he cant help himself. He finds being sent to have a shower (where he can shout without upsetting anyone) helpful, or out onto the trampoline and bouncing the rage off. Me telling him off when he knows he is wrong or has been stupid really doesn't help. Apparently sympathising is evil, but actually doing 'oh no you have broken your X, oh you must be sad about that. Would you like some extra jobs to do so you can start saving up to replace it?' takes away the negative defensive reaction but makes it clear it is his problem and not mine.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Thankyou for posting, you are right about the red mist coming down and we have tried talking to him about when he starts to feel he is getting angry to go and kick a football about outside or go out into the woods on his mountain bike. DH came in about 10mins after it happened so he was calm unlike me and has told him that's it if he wants a new tv then he saves for one. I'm also really angry because this has happened in the past with a previous f1fa game and he actually came to the conclusion himself that this game makes him angry and wasn't going to buy the current one and we thought we had got somewhere, he has car racing games and other sport games and there is never an issue. Anyway he got given some money from a relative which we knew about for a good school report and good grades and unbeknown to us went after school and bought F1fa 18 with the money and 2 days after getting it this has happened.
I'm so upset that i'm sat in my bedroom in bed on my own, its not just the TV its how he spoke to me.0 -

My DS1 (and very occasionally DS2) is the same. He thumps the desk and stamps his feet on the floor so hard the light downstairs shakes . It’s pure luck he hasn’t smashed anything yet.
I agree, the way they speak to us is the worst part. He will probably devastated he’s upset you so much though now he has calmed down XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
