Don't let him get to you - although I know it's easier said than done. He'll get over it though it's annoying at the time especially for you. I think we all go through it unless we're very lucky.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

DS1 says the game is too frustrating penny. Apparently you have to invest quite a lot of game per match and then it can be snatched away from you and you’ve ‘wasted’ the last 20 minutes or so.
Well done on the BIN sale XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

My son (nearly 21) is exactly the same - fortunately he is at Uni but he will be back for Xmas soon.
Obviously given his age I cant stop him playing fighting games, he gets annoyed when the broadband connection goes slow and he is playing a game with people all over the country and he gets killed because of the broadband lagging.
I don't mind swearing if you have dropped something on your toe but to swear about a computer game is beyond me so although I tell him to stop swearing I cant force him to so I find the best thing is to shut his bedroom door and then shut all the other doors between me and him and then I cant hear him.
I may have solved the issue though - we have moved to fibre broadband and it is very whizzy so I am hoping it can cope with all the technology that people use all the time.
DD was also a terror last night, I was hoping it was just a full moon but alas it wasn't.
My crime was to not let her meet up with a friend and to then meet up with some boys in a town 20- miles away while there was a Xmas fayre going on - I already knew the traffic was hell as it came up on Facebook and also she wanted to go at 5pm and as the weather was very cold last night I did not want to be driving on country roads with ice etc.
DD was not happy and she called us all sorts of names, then she chucked her phone which luckily didn't hit anyone but went behind the sofa which DH and I were sat on and then she wanted us to move so she could get it but was still shouting and calling as !!!!!!!!s so we refused until she said please and spoke to us nicely but this made her more annoyed and then she started crying.
Eventually she said please without any swear words and we moved the sofa to get her phone and then she started slamming doors and stamping around - DH was very angry and all the noise brought on his head pain and so I went upstairs calmly and told her that if I heard one more thing from her, either a bang or a shout then I would remove her phone for the whole night.
After that we didn't hear a peep from her, I went up a bit later (after she had refused tea) and offered her tea which she accepted - I took it up to her and she said Thanks as I left the room. I will take that as her apology!!!
Unfortunately it is the week before her period is due and she turns into a devil child, this coupled with not being allowed out turned her into a monster. Unfortunately she is very headstrong like her mother and would never apologise.
Hope DS is better today and you are ok Penny.0 -
OMG EE, please don't take this the wrong way but i'm glad its not just me. My DD is also horrendous when her period is due she is like the devil child from the exorcist, it wouldn't surprise me to see her head spinning one of these days:rotfl:.
You start to think your the only one that has children that can be little monsters, one of my friends makes out that her children are angels and never do anything wrong and as i'm quite open and will have a rant about mine I always feel inferior and that i'm doing something wrong, having said that I did ask her a couple of weeks ago how one of her boys was doing at school and it was all great/wonderful, she didn't now that I knew he had thrown a chair across the class room, (work in education and people talk).I don't understand why she pretends, if I didn't let it out I would be locked up:rotfl:.
Ds has apologised and I have calmly told him that its not just breaking something I'm upset about but how he spoke to me, he did seem very sorry and cross with himself, he also knows that he has to pay for a new tv himself. I'm also upset hat this game does this to him because usually he is quite laid back and doesn't really get worked up, he plays rugby and never gets angry or involved in fighting, so its quite unsettling that a computer game can do this.0 -
Morning Pennywise,
Seems theres something in the air with these DC of ours at the moment! My kids don't shout or swear at the game mentioned... my bl00dy DH does!!! Ive been known to go and switch the thing off before now, you can imagine how well that will have gone down :rotfl: apparently the game cheats !!!!!!!!!! Anyway I think he needs to make it up to you for the way he spoke to you, cups of tea, breakfast in bed maybe (more like lunch with a teenager I'm sure :rotfl:).

Thanks for using the code.
Yes the game/ref cheats In our house as well apparently :rotfl:.0 -
My DS is obviously much younger, however he's had his console taken away until he changes his attitude

He doesn't really get angry at the game he's playing but at us who apparently make him 'die' because we are too noisy  So he ends up slamming around and shouting at the girls to shut up etc! How I haven't thrown the console out the window I don't know :rotfl:
Yet as soon as it's taken away he's back to being okay! I was hoping it'd get better as he gets bigger not worse :rotfl:“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Evening, just a quick update to keep me straight, lots going on this evening and if I leave it until tomorrow I will forget.
Should have about £45 to add to pot from weekend £bay sales, but I need to pay fees and then have a look whats left, will do this tomorrow morning when the house is quiet.
Finally sorted my n£ctar card it had been blocked for some reason, so waiting for a new one to come through.
2 week meal plan and Mr M order done to come on Thursday £160, months worth of washing powder ordered though, in the new year I want to try and use amaz0n vouchers to bulk buy washing powder/loo rolls etc.
Item I ordered from max1niles arrived so that's another xmas present sorted.
£15 amaz0n voucher ordered from a survey site and £7.80 landed in paypal from another survey site. Once I receive the amazon voucher I can order the N0rth face gloves DS wants for xmas.
Hope everyone is ok.x0 -
You're doing well with the Surveys and sales Pennywise
Hope you've had a good day x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Morning.
Great nights sleep, almost pain free so i'm getting there slowly.
£43 sent across to xmas pot, spent £7 so would have been £50 on a stocking filler for MIL.
Today is going to be a spend day £5 has gone onto DS school dinner account as its Tuesday. Meeting a friend for tea tonight hoping to spend no more than £20 on a main meal and drink.
£3 amaz0n voucher redeemed from swagbuck$, so i'm now waiting on £28 in amaz0n vouchers and £20 in n£xt vouchers from various sites.
Hope they hurry up and send them I have Christmas presents to order.
PLans for today are to do some general housework, list and wrap £bay bits, surveys ad catch up on washing.
Kids are pestering for Christmas tree to go up , told them they need to wait at least another week, we always have a real one so they will have to wait until DH goes and buys one which won't be until I tell him to :rotfl:.0
