That's brilliant I'm pleased you managed to get one, they will make cute little stocking fillers.
  • Hi Scottish mummy, thanks for posting, We could only go for a week due to having animals and finding people to take care of them, also no chance of 2 weeks in October, we only get 1 weeks half term holiday and as I work in education can only go in school hols, children are also school age and at secondary school so can't take them out of school.

That's a shame. Being in Scotland we get two weeks in October which is why we managed it although flight timings still meant they missed one day of school.

When I went to pick it up, they offered me fruit tea and a chocolate!!!! I did have a little look around the shop, but I knew I wasn't going to buy anything.

Some of the womens magazines do the handcreams as a free gift. I've given these as stocking fillers in the past.

  • Afternoon all.

Its been a busy old week and I seem to have struggled with updates.

Everything is good in the PWPS household, although money is tight this month, due to 3 birthdays in the family, big tax bill and DH has a big car bill £350 , so we are trying hard to keep everything to a minimum.

We are having a quiet weekend at home, kids have homework to do and DH wants to watch the rugby so at least it means we are not spending money. I did my food shop yesterday and spent £21, may need to get some milk and bread in the week but should be no more than £5.

I have had some freebies this week, chocolate to test :D and some body lotion, no survey payments received or requested.
I did get a 18 month 0% offer on one of my CC which means I have shifted £2700 onto that card, which is fantastic as I was paying around 18% apr. Down to 3 cards now and the majority is on low life balance or 0%. Going to close one CC but going to keep M8NA open as they are good with offers, so hopefully I will be able to transfer when 0% runs out on MR T CC.

Today has been a major cooking day, I been busy making butternut squash and roasted red pepper soup, cheese and tom quiche, jam tarts (used leftover pastry), lemon traybake, chocolate brownie and stewed up some past there best apples for a pud tomorrow. Just need to make meatballs for tonight tea.

Off to catch up on surveys, take care.x.

By what you've posted, you seem to be on the ball with everything, penny . Like you, we've had a tax bill, car expenses and birthdays too. Luckily, most of our expenses have been paid.

Good news on the freebies, I love a freebie!!!!
