  • Yep 15 eggs!!, come to the conclusion that a couple of the chickens have decided to lay there, another one also lays in the garage behind the bikes if she can get in there, totally bonkers, why lay in warm dry nest box when you have cold hard concrete.

We have had scrambled eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes with toast for brekkie, totally stuffed, DH has taken kids swimming, I have earache and decided not to go just In case i'm starting with an ear infection, I have taken some painkillers and it is easing.

I have chucked together a tomato and lentil soup, which will be for tea with cheese panini's, not sure what everyone will want for lunch when they get back.
found a box of ready brek cereal in the cupboard, I vaguely remember DS pestering for it and having one bowl and saying he didn't like it and would rather have normal porridge:mad:, anyway that's something I will have to eat up as it is not going to waste.

have done a couple of surveys this morning and I have listed a couple of bits on £bay, still need to check banking.

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend.x.

Sounds like we had a similar day. I also had scrambled eggs, mushrooms and toast for breakfast. Ds had a swimming lesson, but we also got out the paddling pool for the children today.

The children insisted I buy some bananas from the market, but they will go off before we get to eat them all, so I may make some banana bread. You've inspired me to run down our food cupboard.

Paddling pool ,I can tell your down south, oop north its bl**dy freezing, CH is back on.

Love banana bread, we sometimes have banana fritters with syrup when bananas need using, not very healthy but very yummy, especially with a dollop of ice crean as well.

The sun was out, but it was chilly, so OH filled the paddling pool with warm water!!!!

I've been thinking about all the baking you do. I really like the idea of making up a batch of baked goods, like you do, but I'm not sure whether the children would eat them. They eat more savory snacks than sweet.
  • Morning

Bank holiday Monday and it's raining, what a surprise! On a positive it's nice to have a 4 day work week.

Banking has been checked and a couple of surveys have been done, checked Mr m account and now have enough points for another £5 voucher, so will use that against my shopping next week.

DS is off to a friends house later, so I will nip into Mr S on the way back and pick up a couple of bits I forgot in my grocery order the other day, I have £2.50 in nectar points, so shouldn't spend anymore than a pound in cold cash, was going to nip to Mr T tomorrow on my home from work, but as i'm passing Mr S anyway seems daft not to use the points. Will also put fuel in car today as 1 i'm passing garage and 2 it will save me time tomorrow.

    Meals today-
    Breakfast - porridge or toast.
    lunch- HM tomato soup
Tea- Rst chicken, rst spuds, yorky puds & veg.

Made fruit scones last night so will have those with butter for an afternoon snack.

DD has some school tests coming up, So going to spend some time helping her revise whilst DS is out of the house, must also get to the bottom of the ironing pile:eek:.

    Have a good day.x.

DS dropped off and quickly nipped into Mr S, ended up spending £3.78 after nectar point, as I picked up some paracetamol and ibrupropen (sp) as DH seems to be starting with a cold, also some milk and reduced bread to go in the freezer, which will hopefully stop a mad dash to the supermarket later on in the week, which usually ends up with me spending a fortune.

Also signed up for shoezone email, as when you do they send yu a voucher for £5 off a £15 spend which can be used online and instore, delivery is free over £10, so I went online and bought myself some canvas lace up pumps and some ballerina pumps, total cost was £10.98 with free delivery, even if they only last me through the summer I will be happy.

    link for voucher - http://www.shoezone.com/

    Shoes I bought - http://www.shoezone.com/ShoppingBag

Small ebay sale today, £1.50 sent to hols pot.

Well done on your bargain shoes and thanks for the voucher code.
I can't see the shoes you bought from your link, but I hope you are happy with them when they arrive.

I can't believe you are nearly into 4 figures on your holiday fund.
  • Evening all.

Its been a good day at work, signed up to a course which will hopefully be good for future prospects, took lunch to work, did spend £1.91 on the way in on a banana and a bag of nuts, trying to make sure I have healthy snacks with me to try and stop me eating cakes and biscuits at work, clothes are feeling snug so I know I need to lose a little.

Carp evening once in from work, DD is being a typical teenage brat and thinks the world owes her everything for nothing, ended up having a huge row with her and taking her phone away as punishment, super strop has resulted and she is not speaking which is a vast improvement to the gobby answering back I had been getting.

I cashed out on 2 survey sites so £18 winging its way and received £2.50 from another survey site which has gone to hols pot.

Received a £9 off £70 spend voucher from Mr M which I will use for next weeks food shop along with a £5 match and more voucher, will stock up on some store cupboard items.
Also have a £5 voucher from The b0dy shop to use, so will order some shower gel.

No bids or £bay sales, fingers crossed that changes as the week goes on.

    Hope everyone is ok.x.
  • Sorry to hear DD is being a diva. I feel your pain Xx
