Payday today :j, couple of bills paid.
I had my first shop from Morrison's today and I'm suitable impressed, I even got a free ginger bread man which I'm going to enjoy shortly with a cup of tea, groceries came to £62.07, as my grocery budget for the week is £70 I'm going to make an over payment of £8 to CC.
Had a small sale on 3bay and made £3.60 this has gone straight to holiday fund.
Spent £25 on fuel as DH was going passed a$da and its currently cheapest place to buy, sadly my tank wasn't empty or I would have put more in, but I'm sure I've saved a few pennies.
Received a freebie hair dye today and I'm majorly pleased as its exactly the same brand and colour that I normally use
,so at least a fiver saved.
Hope everyone is ok, take care.x.0 -
Pleased your shop went well. Even better with free gingerbread!!!
Your holiday total is adding up very nicely, isn't it!!! It's easy to spend a couple of pounds here and there without realising, but when you save it up for something special, it feels so much more productive.0 -
Just catching up and wanted to say good for you remaining positive. It's far too easy to be dragged down. I let myself get dragged into something the other day and I paid the price, but now I'm back to how I should be and next time I am not going to get dragged in, as there will be a next time unfortunately. Not my issue though.
So yes, good for you and i bet you feel you've overcome something doing that.
Great guns on the holiday total. xxDebt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683
Total £8601 Was £393020 -
Well done on how you handled the relative. As you know I have similar problems. A sibling who likes to make me feel guilty for living. She has shown her true light this last while and since my parent died recently I now have no need to be in contact with her. She behaved prior and after the death in such a manner that any sympathy I had for her faded by her every action and verbal attack. Hard to believe or to try and analyse some peoples thoughts and behaviour. We deserve our happy lives and we need to avoid any contact if at all possible.
I still find myself allowing her to affect me but I am getting better at dismissing the negativity.
Keep going keep strong. You are blessed to not have the relative too close, not much comfort but at least that is a positive.
Love the new diary

So sorry, can't believe it has been nearly 2 weeks since I posted.
Life seems to be super busy at the moment and most of it sems to revolve around the kids, but I just keep thinking I only have a few years before they are off doing their own thing, so I don't mind really. Both children have had good parents evenings, although DS is coasting in a couple of subjects he is getting Bs but the teachers are adamant he is a straight A student and could do better, so I think he needs a bit of prodding, but he is a social lad and loves sport and his friends so I do think he needs that time too and not just work work.
Also had lots of bugs in the house, DS has had a stomach bug and myself and DD have had a virus which has left us both with a horrid cough, I feel totally exhausted.
Holiday pot is adding up slowly thanks to some survey payments and some ebay sales.
Got PO cc statement in the post, balance at 0 thanks to balance transfer, so I have rang up and cancelled the card.
Morrisons shopping is going well and have to say I'm super impressed by the quality and prices, 3rd delivery coming tomorrow and I've already got enough points for a £5 voucher.
I'm sure I've more to update but can't remember, will post again if anything springs to mind, better go and pick DD up from town she has gone out with friends for lunch.0 -
Glad to hear food delivery is working out well for you!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Sounds always really busy round at Pennywise's!
I agree I think DS needs to have a life too and I think he seems to have the balance right by what you're saying. Maybe just an extra evening a week of work might help him on a bit? xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening all.
Excellent day at work today, everything feels much better when the sun is shining.
Woke up early this morning and got a load of washing done and out on the line to dry, another sign spring is here. Packed lunches made for us all and a lamb casserole put in the slow cooker.
Received some survey payments today so have sent £17.55 to hols account which is starting to add up nicely.
I think that's all for today, short and sweet as everything seems to be ticking along.0 -
