Calls to landline numbers, 03 numbers and mobile numbers can be as low as 3p per minute or as high as 45p per minute, all depending on which network you choose.

Make sure you pick one at the lower end of that scale.

If you are regularly spending more than £5 per month then you need to swap to a monthly bundle, even if you won't be using all of the allowance it gives.

nvr mind the price, my advice would be stay well clear of VectoFv%% and its "sister" Delight"- CS and whole firm is one Bombay takeaway affair.
TalkMobile, only using it for a day- awesome, but minimum 10p charge might spoil the broth

    I have to disagree.

Our family has two Delight SIMs. Two number ports and then the transfer of one number from a mini SIM to a new nano SIM were handled politely and efficiently by their Asian call centre.

This is a cheap network but the service I have received from their staff has been many percent better than certain UK based networks I have dealt with. Credit where credit is due.

Just writing it as I find it.
  • Same here virgo 17. Delight are cheap. But i have found them a lot better than the expensive networks. Not rung them. but i have emailed them, and true to their word i did have a reply within 24 hours, and my questions to them answered. My only gripe is they use ee,

I still have my Cellnet online Genie payg sim (glovebox Trium, lol who remembers them hearty wee things) , I think I am going to get a cheap dual sim mobile with TalkMobile payg 10p rates and the o2 sim for the new car glovebox, coverage in a 100 mile radius as I remember is patchy everywhere outside main towns and cities... probably as I dont live in flat, over populated built up Engerland lol

Brummy eh ? Not been there since my cheap Virgin split ticket to London about 5 years ago lol

  • OP update:

Talkmobile at 10p per hour (then 8ppm) works really well using Vodafone's network. It's called 'Happy Hour' but you get it automatically. This rate applies to mobiles and landlines 01, 02, 03.

Lyca is also good at 1ppm between Lyca phones and free if topped-up each calendar month. 12ppm to landlines. 19ppm to 'other mobiles'.

To keep the handset away from my head I use this:
