I'm looking forward to getting to know people and hopefully chatting.
I've made another 10 cards and started my sister-in-law's pressies for her birthday in Feb. Need to make a birthday card for a 23 year old male, birthday card for SIL and finish card for friend who is in hospital......0 -
What crafts do you do?
I do a bit of almost every paper craft - card making, mini books, albums, scrapbooking, altered art, canvases- if it involves paper or paint I'll have a go at it
Also I cross stitch although only occasionally now. I have got an ottoman full of supplies so should keep going but my projects are all quite big so take a long time.
I have got some fabric and have made an owl shaped cushion (at my sister's hen party) and this inspired me to buy some off cuts and I'm half way through making a kind of patch work cushion- it only has 4 'patches' though! I've always wanted to learn to crochet but I've got so much paper crafting supplies I can't really afford to start a new hobby. I think my husband would disown me
I generally find crafting relaxing and use it as my 'me' time.0 -
Hi Tigger, I knit and do small cross stitches and this year I want to learn to actually use my sewing machine and crochet.
I'm the same as you my making things time is my relaxation (as long as everything's going ok) and I'm going to make sure this year I have even a little bit of time every day to get something done.konMarie and fabbing all the way

Hi tiggermad, I'll try most things but knitting crochet cross stitch and sewing are my main time thieves.
I'm off the starting block for 2016. I made this using 10x50grms of soya yarn using a crochet stitch I'd not tried before.

Hi everyone,
Its great to welcome more people aboard - hello :j
I am mainly a paper crafter making cards, scrapbooking, mini books, Project Life etc but also dabble in a bit of sewing (both hand and machine) and also like to try my hand at altered art items occassonaly.
I can't knit or crochet which hasn't stopped me buying woolso one of my aims this year is to learn at least one of these skills
I also have boxes of beads and jewellery making bits which I bought years ago but have never made any jewellery in my life before, so this year I need to find a way to use those up as well
Oooh nearly forgot I've just finished my 2016 Project Life title page so I can declare one more for my total
I best get a wiggle on as all the rest of you seem to be putting me to shame with all your wonderful makes

but it was all bought for specific things my daughters have asked me to make for my DGK so will be used up

Well done all and welcome to all newbies!!

Hi
Can I join in too, I dabble in a few different bits and pieces.
I ended 2015 by using a small notebook I got for Christmas and writing down all the projects I could think of from the top of my head, i got to 9 without exploring any far flung corners! There is one project per page and I plan to use it for a bit of analysis of why the project stalled eg I didn't have the right skill to finish it. From there I can work out if I can now complete the project, if not I will make a decision on its future.
The first project to get my attention is a rag rug, I brought a kit, collected old T-shirts and then for about two years it has all sat collecting dust in the corner of the spare room.
I am recording this all on my blog http://snadralovesblogging.blogspot.co.uk/ and I am so pleased to have found this group hopefully it will keep me on track.0 -
I can add 1 more item that I made today, a skirt made from a knit fabric from my stash. New to using knit fabric and pleased with the result, drafted my own pattern and in total only took me 1 hour 20 minutes from start to finish. I am upping the anti from 25 items to 100, if I can make 2 items a week great.
Most of my makes will be clothes for me or stuff for the house.
I usually have a dozen or so things on the go at once as I get bored doing just one thing.2020 Stash makes/destash 61/1500
