As the end of another month is approaching, I am forward planning to November. November is going to be a really busy month. Our November income is looking really good as we have my first AQA earnings to come, so we are going to put it to really good use. Our plans are ambitious, but achievable. So, debt plans for November:
    1. Finish paying off Nanna £350
    2. Clear Littlewoods Catalogue £350.12
    3. Clear DSS debt £340
    4. Re-clear Barclaycard (used for xmas pressies and new glasses this month) £100
Once these are done, we only have 2 debts left to repay, although they are big ones.

  • OK, first update of November ....

    Nanna is paid off in full (£350) :j :j :j :j

Cheque is in the post for DSS debt (£320) which should clear by the end of next week

Catalogue is almost clear (£36.62 left to clear)

Barclaycard statement hasn't come so I am assuming we're not due a bill yet, but have saved the money for when it comes so it can be cleared in full when it arrives.

Just going to add up my new debt total and will then update my signature. I'm getting so excited :D

congratulations, i've really enjoyed reading this diary. I've considered AQA but i'm not sure how much time it will take or if i'll get accepted or be any good at it. I'm useless at looking things up. But then again i certainly spend enough time on here so should do something else whilst i'm here.
I know what you mean about having to check your balance everyday, if i don't i feel so out of control, i went for too long being too scared to look just because i 'thought' it would be bad news.
Keep up the good work you give us all hope.
  • Thanks Lemon Tree ;)

I can't believe how much we have achieved since finding this site in March. I couldn't have done it on my own.

It is going to slow down a bit now because we have decided to save up and offer full and final settlements for our last 2 big debts.

We owe Thames Credit £4000 exactly, and Wescot Credit £1684.74. They both gave us the opportunity of full and final settlements a few years ago, but we didn't have the money. Hopefully they will accept them now. Would be nice to be able to settle both for £4000 (£3000 Thames, £1000 Wescot). That would take us 8 months to save at the most - would be nice in 6 months. Fingers crossed!
