Saturday 2nd Jan - What Small DFW-Style Things Will You Be Doing Today?
Comments
-
Morning all - I need to come back - will you have me?
Ally - I need your help. My smilies don't work - neither does the strikethrough or hyperlinks or things like that. I've not disabled smilies in the advanced section - do you have any ideas? They work on the iPad just not the laptop so I'm thinking a settings issue but can't fix it.
It's an "up and at 'em" day today as DH is back at work & the house looks like a tip.
So today's list is:-- NSD
- All meals from stores (Mac & cheese for tea to use up cheese mountain and milk lake)
- Clean out fridge and note the food that has to be used up
- Menus plan for food that needs used up
- Washing and more washing
- Clean house using stardrops
- No heating on
- Unfortunately I'll need to use the drier for the washing. There's another storm system on its way in (according to Windy Wilson) and that might mean power loss for us (overhead lines & all that) so I really want to get the ironing done tomorrow.
- There may be some food in the fridge that is way past its best & needs binned (I know - I'm ashamed)
Have a good one y'allDebts 07/12/2021

Well hello there my lovelies
Big hellos to Debbie and Cally :hello: and welcome back Clooties mum! :A
I'm at the in-laws - going home in a couple of hours - can't wait for the Christmas Roadtrip to be over and to get back to normal.
Have been looking at housey things online - need to get wardrobes - going to i kea - have also looked into new 'install yourself' blinds to save a small fortune.
Can I ask a Q re emergency funds... I've currently got about £300 saved up for insurances and future bills...Should I keep topping up these until I have enough for the expense or should I try to get an emergency fund saved up first (using the other £300 as a starting point) and then saving for future bills following that...? I hope that makes sense how I've explained it... I guess I'm just thinking that if I keep putting away '£15 to this, £30 to that...' then I'll never be in a position to save any sort of emergency fund...
One of my CCs came off 0% interest yesterday so I need to think about a bit of a re-jig.

I can't be sure as I can't see your laptop....but...
Are you viewing the web through Internet Explorer 11? If so check whether Enhanced Protected Mode is enabled in Internet Options/Advanced/Security. It is enabled by default in IE11 and prevents a lot of things working as expected on various websites.
Disabling the option may help.
Or go back to Internet Explorer 10. (Link)
Or better still ditch money-grabbing Microsoft altogether and switch to Firefox.
If this doesn't fix it let me know.
