Flat (-5% to +5%)I just said house prices will continue to go up in cities if cheap money continues to be available and explained why and said that people who buy properties in cities in cheap money environments in a digital world especially in cities like London will do well and people that utilise the networks in a city will thrive and explained why.
Nothing new, nothing profound.
Sorry if I misunderstood but the red highlighted words below led me to believe that you were advocating actually living in London:They may become less likely to remain a loner and eventually get pulled back into the city because of this or their earning potential will be trumped by their city peers. They will probably buy into a much less dynamic environment and will pay significantly for this at the end of their life as they realise their lifestyle was much less profitable even though it may have been much less interesting. This will partly be because they failed to leverage the advantage of cooperation that they could have obtained in a city ( or from living within thriving distance of a good city ).
The best of both worlds for me is to own London property, but not have to put up with living there.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I'm heading out soon too but bloody glad I spent my younger years networking and investing in London. I dare say I'll be back though and I centainly won't be becoming hermit in nowheresville.
Once you've found your mate and fortune relative to your needs, the need for a city lessens, I'll give you that.
However imagine how your life might be different if it wasn't for London.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

If you were a hermit it really wouldn't matter where you lived. Personally I much prefer a place that offers decent on and off road cycling, hiking and good runs in the countryside, London doesn't provide that, I've never regretted moving to Surrey from London, not for a moment.

Toronto, the mrs is Canadian and the schools, skiing, summers, and wildlife are better whilst it's still a thriving global city with all the possibility that that offers.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

My family are from Hartlepool, they lived a life of poverty until grandad made it to London after serving as a morse code boy on a Dutch mine sweeper and married my gran and became a berol pencil salesman and learnt half a dozen eupoean languages at night school to flog pencils around Europe.
Until London, they were as skinny as a rake.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

Horses for courses, that wouldn't suit me at all, but each to their own. I've never fancied skiing, but that's down to badly breaking my leg in my early 20's (it took over 3 years to recover).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Europe matches your requirements. Seriously, almost everywhere has amazing cycle paths, lots of hiking, and the weather is just much much better than the UK in most places, not just southern countries. But of course, Europe is over there and you're over here and there are other things to consider.0 -

Our long term plan is to winter in Spain, we haven't really even started to explore Spain yet, the first two regions that I want to get to know are the Cost de la luz and the Tabernas desert in Almeria (for anyone that doesn't know, that's where a few of the Clint Eastwood westerns were shot, including 'the good, the bad and the ugly' and the two 'dollars' fims, so stop watching Clint and look at the landscape, if you want to see what it looks like).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0
