    Anyone used them?

They are coming out cheapest for budget tyres for size 185/60R15 84H out of all the online tyre places I've checked.

Only thing I'm skeptical about is rocking up at the fitting partner garage and finding out they do them cheaper. :p

I've not used them but was close .
You can see the partner garages , Tesco and other places do the same .
As it happened the tyres I wanted were cheaper at a nearby fitter.

Alibaba supply tyres to the likes of ASDA in 20ft container loads (minimum order) for around $10 each (less than £7.00)

There is plenty profit to be made in selling cheapo 'sub-budget' tyres - but some things in life can be too cheap.

As long as there are people to whom the quality comes at the bottom of their purchase check list and price is at the top - we will sellers of rubbish.
this is completely wrong, asda dont purchase from ali baba but from local independents or halfords.you choose your make of tyre and where you want them fitted and you get a time slot to suit
  • I thought ASDA tyres (the real company behind the brand) courier the tyres you order to the fitting centre, like how Blackcircles do it.

Do you have any evidence of that or are you just making things up.

I said 'the likes of ASDA' - and where do you think the independents source their cheapy tyres from?

If you go for the cheapest tyres on the market - Alibaba importers - or some company like them - will be involved in getting the tyres to the UK.

They all make a profit so the £40 sub-budget tyre likely costs only $1 to $2 a time from some far-eastern factory.

If you can get a known brand tyre that you are happy with and they work out the cheapest then why not use them.

Though often a local independant can price match these big names.

A forum member used Halfords for his Toyo T1S's for his Fiesta and they under undercut BlackCircles due to a current offer.

Ok it was only by a £1 but if those tyres are available now and Halfords is closer then why not.

I would doubt that Halfords have a half knackered wheel balancing machine or ancient tyre fitting machine like some small local tyre places.

So why bother. Especially as most Halfords Autocentres are only Halfords in branding and were very often already a GarAge (of varying quality I suspect).

I've used Asda Tyres for some mid range tyres.

Fitted at local Halfords, compared prices for chosen tyre and they were cheapest and most convenient.

Good quick service, the bloke serving me was surprised at the price when he put the transaction through the till.

Not sure why, when I rung the Halfords, the guy on the phone said to try one of the sites like Asda tyres.

Dunno, when he looked at the paper work to ring up the bill, he said "blimey that's a good price, better than we would have done"

I thought you paid asda tyres and just turn up at the fitter with the 'voucher' for the tyres.
To be fair it wasn't too much cheaper than their price, I was having some bridgestones fitted all other places were £95-133 a corner, Asda £87 , but tyres-R-us was £78, but that was in October and I guess winter or all seasons wouldn't have been at favourable price.
