Hiya Folks
For those who have been following my ups and downs of house moving and the fantastic help of my lovely friends - GOOD NEWS :j:j
I collected my keys yesterday and went in to see how everything was - they left the place immaculate! On that basis I am moving from my friends :A into there today (furniture comes Thursday - until then its me faithful bed roll!!!).
I shall be off line til Monday when SKy should be activated! So most of Tuesday will no doubt be spent catching up with you guys!! When I am tired of unpacking!
More laters!

Wonderful news Lynplatinum, you must be so excited. Good luck with moving in.
Make do: my Macmillan party was a Jacobs join and people brought lots of nibbles, some of which we are still eating. Olives & feta mixes were a popular choice and the sell/eat by dates were quite long so tonight's tea is leftover salad (ie salad made with whatever is left in the fridge and said olives/feta.
My raspberries/loganberries are going mad. I'm collecting a bowlful every morning to have with some yoghurt. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the strawberries. I replaced all the plants last year and put them into the ground. I don't have many but a lot of them are being eaten by something. You pick them and then discover tiny holes. I think I will put them back in my stacking pots for next year.
Mending: I mended an all pinnie I had. One of the waist ties had broken so I removed both ties and replaced with some tape I had.
Minimising: I bought some lovely fabric last year with books, quills and spectacles printed on it. I'm going to have a go at quilting it on the sewing machine and turning it into cushions. It will give me some practise with zips as well.
Have a good day everyone.Books - the original virtual reality.

Small amount of progress - a bowl of blackcurrants topped & tailed and in the freezer. Loganberries starting to ripen, just waiting now for the raspberries and blueberries and blackberries!! We have awful soil so I planted things that we both like that were tolerant of heavy clay although the blueberries are in pots.
Had a quick tidy up and put some odds & sods in the CS bag - does that count as minimising?
Two loads of washing done and the third just going in - nice and dry so hope it will all be done and away today.
Have a good day all xSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Minimised some clothes to the CS yesterday, making do with food in the house, and hopefully mending a top of mine tonight (which was on the list for Tuesday but didn't get done!)
Hope everyone is well!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Been a bit rubbish at posting of late but I have kept mmming:j. I've just caught up on the thread as I love to hear what you're all up to and to to pinch your good ideas!
Make do. - all meals this week have been freezer portions of leftovers which has cleared some space and kept costs down. Breakfast has been porridge or toast using up Ys artisan bread from the freezer. I got loads a while ago for 9p a loaf and they've all been delicious. Lemon and pumpkin at the moment.
Minimise - freezer stocks and some of the kid's outgrown clothes to a friend at work.
Mend - nothing mended but rotary dryer finally collapsed after many repairs and has been replaced with one that doesn't lilt and trail my washing in the dirt:j
PPOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.
Mortgage neutral achieved August 2020 - 7 years early!!!0 -
Morning mmmers sorry haven't been in for a while busy at work and doing stuff.
Minimised some fabric and stuffing making a toy owl, read a book that's gone to the CS. Mended DHs shorts (finally) and made do with things from the freezer and using up left overs in meal plans.
Hope everyone is wellSPC~12 ot 124
