Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes. I received the powerpoint presentation yesterday from my brothers funeral in France that his eldest granddaughter did, and it is lovely ,so many photos of him throuhout his life.
We are trying to sort out a date for his ashes interrment as he wanted to have them put in with our late Mum in London where she is buried. My nephew, who is a vicar in Lancashire, is hopefully coming down to do the service, and at the moment it looks like it may be in July as the logistics of getting everyone in the same place at once (his youngest DD lives in Cork)has made it a bit of a planning problem. But I'm sure it will get sorted eventually.

Lyn think of yourself as in your 'Gypsy period' of life at the moment or footloose and fancy free :) and I'm sure all will come right in the end.

Making do with stuff from the freezer for lunch and tonights dinner will be at the pub as its quiz night and we get a meal along with the quiz

Mending I guess will be some more sqaures for the blankets I make I am doing one in blue and white/yellow at the moment as I seem to have an excess of blues in my stash :)

Minimising : well I was given a packet of 500g of dried soup mix (and I'm not one to turn down a freebie), and I ahve never used dried stuff before so fingers crossed it will turn out OK

sun is still shining and I am just about to plant some strawberry seeds that I was given for mini strawberry plants who know they may just come up and surprise me :):)

Minimised some stashed fabric this afternoon by making a dress to wear tonight, made it a size too big coz I can get it on and off without undoing the zip and have had to sew the bust up a bit as it was gaping. Will make another in the next size down as I do like it.

Not sure about making do, but minimising was my l/o salad for lunch, and mending will be repairing my new, first wear cardigan that got snagged by a recalcitrant bramble on the allotment, when I went to water the greenhouse - grrr!

Managed to buy an inflatable collar for puss today - put it on her & it was off again in 2 mins!! Tried again, as tight as I could without strangling her. She walked I to the garden in a huff and came back 5 mins later minus collar squeaking at me as if to say nah nah nana nah and I can't find the blooming thing. Back to the plastic one when I can get hold of her.
Pressure washed the patio that's further down the garden and made a Lemon Drizzle cake. Salad for tea and that's me done for today.
Have a good evening all x

What a naughty girl that Pusscat is! Mine is observing me from the top of the wardrobe at the moment.

NurseMaggie hope all is well with you. I hadn't forgotten your challenges with your move at the end of last year.

Suggestions please. OH loves oven baked potatoes, which is fine by me, but seems to be rather wasteful on days when I don't have anything else to cook in the oven ( I batch cook and then reheat a lot). I wondered whether I can bake lots of potatoes and then freeze them, and whether they would come out crispy after say 20mins of reheating. It would speed up supper on nights I get home late, and as I buy big sacks of potatoes it would make sense to cook lots at once. All hints/tips info welcome.

Made do We have bottle the latest batch of beer this evening, making do as its a bit cheaper than the shop bought and OH loves it.
Minimised - a piggy bank which obviously offended fuzzy cat as she pushed it off my dressing table this afternoon!
Mended- sadly piggy is beyond repair, but I did fix the zip on a bag I want to use to pack for our week away on Friday.

    Hi everyone.
Minimise - took some books to the book exchange at work but did bring one back:o

Make do - freezer left overs for lunch (soup) and tea (pasta bake) which were very tasty, required no cooking, made space in the freezer and cost nothing so lots of wins :A
Mending - still none but I have put everything in a pile ready for next week when I've got some time off.
