Wow skinny! Lots happening with you since I last popped in. Congrats to your son and glad everything is going well with pyour OH.
You've obviously come to the crossroads with regard to your career but I'm sure you'll figure things out. Isn't it nice to have savings though so that you can take a bit of time deciding what to do?:TFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hi Skinny have loved your diary so far!
Great news re your son and your decision about your job. My last job I left in the same way, was just too stressful and not worth it anymore. I'm much happier now even though self employment has it's ups and downs at least I'm in control more. Enjoy your rest period!
If you are bored pop over to my diary would love see you there and any tips gratefully received.MFW #185

Hello All, so much has happened! I'm working my notice slowly only 34 working days left
I have an interview on Thursday, but what I really fancy doing is being self employed and going interim/consultancy. I could earn £400-£500 a day, I could also spend a large part of my time fruitlessly searching for my next contract. I spoke to someone today who gave me some great advice, set up a spread sheet (like I don't have enough spreadsheets!) and document all your contacts and correspondence, network as much as possible and treat finding your next contract as a job. Believe in your self, and be pushy, if you're not up there at the front of the queue you'll miss out. So I'm going to give that a go. But first I'm taking a month off and going on my holiday of a life time....more later.
I turned 50, and had a big party with a band, fancy dress, and so many great friends and family came. I don't feel any older though.
On the money front, the mortgage interest rate has gone up by 0.25%so now 2.49% and seeing as I have no job in 6 weeks no change of a remortgage either.
Plus my credit rating has plummeted to 2/5 which is rated as poor. I've no idea why, I've been through everything, all my payments are up to date. The only thing that has happened is that I've moved house, so really no idea what's going on. I purchased Noddle Improve in a panic, which was useless and didn't give me any further info, so got my money back.
I've downloaded YNAB, I need to get a grip on things, no idea how much I'm spending, but there's still 4 figures in the bank and payday in 3 weeks, so not panicking just yet.Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

I had a default on my credit report- but it didn't show up on Noddle, it did however on MSE credit club which I think it excellent, so I'd give that a go.
Best of luck with the contracting- I'm sure you'll never look back!May'18 DEBT FREE!

Friend of mine had something similar happen and it turned out one of her banks still had an old address. Make sure your electoral roll stuff is fully up to date as well?Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

I think this could be it, as I moved in January and still have some redirections in place, plus not on the electoral role yet. Thanks for the nudge!Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Interview went well, at final stage but they haven’t told me what comes next.
Paid £3 Halifax reward and £3.33 in bank interest into offset sccount
Need to check rest of addresses are now changed due to rubbish credit score
Need to get on electoral role
Book spec savers appointment as I’m running out of contact lenses
Try not to panic as I leave work in less than 4 weeks and will be unemployed (panicking slightly)
