another vote for MS money on W100

I used to use old MS Money. Thought it was fine.
I've been trying to love YNAB for about a year now, but it's almost too simplistic and too many annoyances. Close to going back to large ledger paper!0 -
I've been using Moneydance for some years now having switched from MS Money. Mines an old version though so really need to look into updating it so I can use it on iPad and iPhone rather than just the Mac and sync across all three.0

Looking at recent review, both Quicken and Moneydance look good.
I've now invested some time and effort learning iBank, and satisfying myself that it does the job, so I'll probably get it.
As for comparisons, I've no idea how it compares with similar software.0 -
Another Money (sunset edition) on Windows 10 user here!
I use an Amex credit card and they have just upgraded their site and seem to no longer offer the option to download transactions in OFX (Money) format.
Is this the beginning of the end for Money? I thought OFX was generally a universal format?
Anyone else reading this thread because Amex are making life difficult?:(0 -

When I was using Money I used the QIF format and that worked fine. I've got no idea if AMEX offer that but it's worth a look.
I too finally gave up on the sunset version of MS Money and have gone over to Banktivity (aka iBank5) It's different but it does what I need to do... still got to get to grips with investment accounts...0 -
I finally decided on Banktivity and have been pleased with it. It downloads from my main accounts. Some investment accounts do not download, though. This is due to the bank not the software. I have set these up manually.
It also downloads share prices.
It is the only software of this type I've used so I can't compare it.
There's a 30 day free trial.0 -
When Quicken got to the end of its life for me I looked at a few alternatives and settled on Bank Genie Pro http://www.bankgenie.net/Personal-Finances-Software/personal-finances-software.html works well enough for me. Very friendly and effective support from the forum and owner/developer.0
-
I agree I have used Bank Genie for a while and support from developer is excellent both via the forum, email. Have also had support via the phone to sort out one issue.0

Going to try Banktivity
Can it be made more UK tolerant - looks very USA biased in the screenshots. Thanks
