Well done, Aril on starting a 2016 thread. I will be following the NBI ship faithfully, and will do my best to avoid getting sucked into the consumerist madness! Happy New Year everyone!

Well, she cracked early ... clicked through and then clicked to see her last posts... last post was in March 2015 saying she was off on holiday.

Prior to that she'd spent £20 on material for rocking chair covers .... £3 on picture hooks ....

I don't think she quite grasped the concept of not spending.....

    :)

    Happy new year everyone

Had a quiet night and was in bed by 10, woke up with fireworks at midnight, turned over and slept until 6....unlike my neighbours whose party has just ended and the guests are just leaving now :rotfl:

Have mum over for dinner today so no plans to go anywhere, lazy day in comfy pants I think.

New Year resolutions? I don't do them as I always forget what I've agreed, thought it may be easier just to set mini goals each month.

    So my January goals are:

No buying any chocolate or snacks
Create a meal plan every week and stick to it
Only buy essentials like fruit/veg etc until current food mountain reduces
Start to declutter kitchen cupboards & drawers

Hope everyone has a lovely day x

    Happy New Year all!

How can it be a year since the good ship NBI set sail?

Will continue with NBI this year as circumstances have changed, and changed again ( this time for the better) but have new reasons to NBI now!

    Best of luck to all.

My starter thus year is minimal grocery spends for next 4 weeks ( until payday). Have bought no groceries since 18th December and will only need fresh bits after the weekend.

    Bexster :)
