No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries January 2016

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Mine was crazy busy and my only UU was a shampoo at my mums so I can't even count it. I'm pretty sure my mascara is on it's last legs though, I hate getting to the end as I'm never sure if I'm just not being as effective as possible or it really is pretty much gone.
I need to sort my stash out again. I never counted all the nail varnishes last time or a few other bits in boxes so I am going to make a point of doing it. It seems like such a daunting task so I have decided I am going to do one cupboard/drawer/box a day. In the end I think I'll actually have the completed list sooner.
Once all toiletries/make up has been sorted I think I'm going to move onto the kitchen cupboards and all the others. And then do it on a constant rotation which will help with decluttering and keeping things tidy.My debt free diary

Two UUs for me today:
Lush Rock Star Soap: I absolutely love this soap - sweet but not sickly sweet. WDBA.
Bath and Body Works Fall Lakeside Breeze Pocket Bac: This doesn't smell like I thought it would as it smells of melons. I am also annoyed that I accidently picked up two of this scent rather than getting a different one. WNBA.0 -
1 UU from last night.
Fearne Cotton Body Wash 250ml This was ok really but I WNBA. Didn't lather too well and in the end I used the last bit as bubble bath..0 -
I have been to the big town today, the first time for about 3 months I resisted B**ts and TKM so have come home sans any toiletries or make up, just bought the 2 pairs of new jeans that I went for:D
I must not be too holier than thou as yesterday I noticed that Escentual had 30% off all French Pharmacie products, so I caved and bought 2 x 200ml of my absolute HG toner for when I have an allergy reaction on my face, namely Darphin Intral Toner which normally retails at £27 (ouch), also had some points in credit which saved me another £2.42 bringing the cost of each bottle down to £16.79:j. I will alternate this with LE IBST, so probably have enough to last me for about 18 months now. Free postage too:D
1 TA - new bottle of Lipcote, it stung like mad when I applied it and left my lips in a flaky mess:eek: Not sure if there is anything similar on the market, any ideas anyone please? The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I think I'm making quite a good start so far.
UU:
1. Palmolive nourishing delight shower milk 50ml Handy to take away but nothing special WNBA
2. Tara Smith gorgeously gentle shampoo 50ml
3. Tara Smith gorgeously gentle conditioner 50ml. I didn't really like these. I was given them in a gift set but they didn't do much for my hair. WNBA
4. Eye make up remover from a French supermarket (bought on holiday when I forgot to take any) 100ml0 -

3 UU to report:
Avon frosted winter berry shower gel 250ml- WBA but I think this was from Avon USA, so doubt I can re purchase currently. Although it was watery it smelled lovely and lasted quite a while. I liked the hanging bottle design. I wish more shower gels came in these bottles they seem to be less popular nowadays but I liked hanging it in the shower. Might see if my American friend can get hold of one of these for me for next Christmas. Using up the foam burst now that's been on the go for ages and then the snow fairy is next on my list.
Garnier moisture match for dull skin sachet- Wnba as a full size. Didn't find it hugely moisturising and it was an odd clear gel. Wasn't that keen on it.
Garnier moisture match for combination skin sachet- WBA but already have fill size in stash. Now this I loved. I liked the pleasant scent and it was moisturising without making me greasy. It lived up to its mattifying claims too... My skin felt like velvet!! Looking forward to starting on this when I've used up the body shop night cream.
Got some ins also, another part of my lush order came:
Beautiful shower gel 100g
Rose jam shower gel 100g
Old Father Time soap
Snow cake soap
Dream cream 45g
Karma kream 45g
Golden wonder bath bomb
Magic wand bubble bar
Also the lush set with the yuzu and cocoa/snowman jelly/baked Alaska soap came and the bomb gift set from bomb cosmetics.
I'm feeling horrendous with the worst cold, anyone else? Everyone at work has got it so clearly doing the rounds. My hair feels awful even though I've washed it and put leave in conditioner in, it just feels like straw and knotty and generally horrible. I'm wondering if it's to do with the cold I have. Thinking of maybe trying a lush shampoo and conditioner at some point, something a bit more natural and gentle. Any reccomendations lush fans? I like the look of daddy o and I love juicy but I don't know. My hair is thick, dry but also greasy at times, fairly long and has been coloured. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Sorry to hear you don't feel well. I haven't tried a LUSH shampoo however am enjoying the results I'm getting from using the Frizz Ease conditioner. Will pick up the matching shampoo next time I see it on offer.
I gave Emma some money to go to LUSH for me yesterday. This is perfect as it stops me overspending in there whilst browsing. She got Ocean Salt for herself and a new tub of Defluff as we are almost out of it. She also picked up a sample of Enziom (sp?) moisturiser as she has really oily skin and is having problems finding a moisturiser that doesn't make her more oily.
OT but wanted to mention something that happened yesterday and made me feel warm and fuzzy. Last week Emma lost her bus pass on the bus. Within the wallet with the pass was her Bank card, provisional driving licence, college ID and NUS card. I reported it all missing to Stagecoach. Emma cancelled her card and applied for replacement licence. Anyway yesterday a very kind stranger posted the items back to Emma with just a friendly note inside that she should be more careful. Wish they had put their details inside as I would have liked to thank them. Just goes to show there are some lovely caring people out there.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
