Found out one of my mac paint pots had dried out. i found a few blogs saying melting it can rescue them so I've tired it and I'm waiting for it to cool down so i can check if its worked. apparently, the outside of cream products dries out but the oils and moisture are still contained in the middle of the product so if you give it a good mix or melt it so it can mix, the oils get spread out again and the moisture comes back so you get more life from it. storing all cream products upside down apparently helps with longevity too as you are letting gravity slowly do the "mixing" for you so all my cream and gel eyeliners are now upside down just in case too!

    UU
Algenist eye cream - WNBA nothing special, just bog standard eye cream!
Antipodes avocado oil - WBA, this was really nice and light on my skin
Lyons leaf beauty balm - WBA, and possible HG! i love this stuff! it smells amazing and it was a really good cleanser. its reasonably priced too and you get loads but only need a bit so its economical too! you can also leave it on as a balm too.
Origins - ginzeng eye cream mini - previous HG but not cruelty free
Neom hand cream - repurposed as a body lotion as i was drowning in hand cream! did a very good job and smelt lush :)
Organic surge bath foam - WBA smelt nice but doesn't bubble as much as the neom one does. it is 1/3 of the price though so i can live with that!

    GA
Modster eyeliner in gold - i'm never going to wear this so it may as well go to someone who will!

    TA
3 soaps. these were hotel freebies and are from 2011 and when i looked for one it had started to separate and the oil was pooling on the outside of it. checked the others and they'd all gone the same way so in the bin they went. i didn't know sops could separate but there you go!

I love tips like this one. I followed a good tip from YouTube yesterday too. Emma lives the UD concealer and showed me her nearly empty tube yesterday. I got MRM to remove the stoppers (prettypistol86) has a video demonstrating this) so she can now hopefully get more product out. Have told her she needs to either start using it more sparingly or find a dupe as I only bought this tube in November. To be fair she herself was shocked at how quickly she had got through it. Let's see how much more product she can use now it's been unstoppered.

Thanks for well wishes VALM and Daisy :)

VALM I have and love, the In the Light palette, so beautiful *swoon*

I have 4 INs to declare, and I'm super excited by them! You see I won one of Caroline Hirons Christmas give-away competitions! I couldn't believe I had won, as I never really win anything.

I won a collection of 4 cleansers from Tata Harper. The 4 of them have a value of over £200 apparently :eek::eek: That's a lot of money for 4 cleansers, so I'm expecting miracles when I go to use them. :rotfl: They're upstairs and I'm downstairs so I don't have the exact names of the 4 of them, but will list them properly once I can grab them.

Am looking forward to playing with the Stila palette especially Kitten. I saw another one of their eyeshadow sin Boots before Christmas called Eden which looked lovely too. Will see how these shadows perform and maybe buy Eden.

Your prize sounds gorgeous. I see Tat Harper cleansers mentioned on YouTube and am always  at the price. I realise now that the Elemis Lime Blossom Cleanser is my HG. It's been a week since I returned to using it daily and my makeup is looking better during the day due to the oil control.

Deleted_User - I didn't like Lush American Dream, it was like applying body lotion to my hair and did nothing at all. Funnily enough I love the Match Perfection foundation too, I am using it at the moment and it goes on beautifully and lasts all day.

    I have some ins

Leighton Denny Nail Polish Remover - this is the one in the pot that you put your finger in, I've had one before and it was very good and lasted ages.

    Anatomicals You Need a Blooming Shower 300ml x 2
    Essie Good to Go
Duwop mini lipstick trio in red, cherry and cherry noir.
First Aid Beauty Cleanser with Red Clay.

I've also used up a Yankee Candle mini jar in Candy Cane Lane, this smelt nice but it didn't burn well and wasted a lot of wax.

I've applied PK Elasticizer to my hair mixed with Wonder Oil as a pre wash treatment, the oil smells amazing, I will shampoo it out in a bit when I get in the shower, it really helps the dryness.

I burned the large jar in this fragrance over Christmas. Love it. It reminds me of my beloved Jack Frost.

I've also finished a large Frankincense candle. I had put it away to burn the Candy Cane Lane one. Have replaced this with a medium Fireside Treats.

I learned the hard way tonight that body shop cranberry body polish can be dangerous (at least in my hands haha). I've no idea how but some of it flicked into my eye. I washed it out the best I could for ages but oh my god, it killed. It's still hurting now :-/ and I have a bright red eye. So yes, don't get body scrub in your eyes people!! :o:o:o

No more UU currently, I have a few annoying products on their last legs that just won't end! And I did try to be extra generous this evening. Lip butter, the aforementioned scrub and a shower gel and shower foam, moisturiser and eye cream. I need to get in my stash boxes and dig out a heir mask and conditioner fir my swimming kit to replace items UU as I'm planning to swim tomorrow night.

Eye bright that's a fab win, congrats!! :)

Ouch! Hope it calms down quickly.

    And welcome back Deleted_User.

VALM- I almost hope these cleansers don't live up to the hype in a way. Imagine if I decide it's my HG cleanser! That's a lot of money to fork out for a cleanser!

Gemzie I hope your eye is feeling better today. Hopefully you washed your eye out very thoroughly? You could end up with scratches on your eye if there are scrubby bits in the polish?

Right off to make a mug of tea, woke up early again because I can't stop coughing!

I'd like to join in with this please. I used to have a huge toiletries stash but I've managed to get it down over the last couple of years (it's still quite big though!). While I've been concentrating on getting that down, my make up stash seems to have crept up so that's my main focus for this year. I had decided that I definitely won't need to buy any this month and probably not next month either, but then yesterday I received an Avon order which I placed before Christmas so that ruined that plan!
    Ins:
Avon Ultra Colour lipstick Country Rose
Avon Ultra Colour lipstick Blush Nude
    Avon lip crayon Just Rosy
    Avon eyeshadow quad Emerald Cut

In my defence, they were in the sale catalogue so they were all bargains!

    Eyebright - can you imagine paying £30 for a 50ml cleanser:eek:.

VALM - I always take the stopper out of this type of packaging now, it gets a bit messy so you do have to wait until you really can't get anymore out but it is amazing how much more there is on the sides and under the stopper.

  • Hi everybody :) I'm very new to all this but really want to join this. I recently moved house and found out I could open my own branch of Boots from my stash! I was a bit horrified so I really need to start getting it reduced some how. My big problem is I really love using all my lovely pampering products but I most of the time don't have time / don't remember to use my lotions etc.

So any support would be great and I need to do a stock take so I can get a goal for my first month :)

    One more UU:-

LUSH Porridge soap - HG product however am not going to purchase just yet as I have a least 2 scrubs in the stash. Have also just cleaned my bathroom and decided that there are 4 products that I'm tired of dusting and need to be used (all belong to Emma):-

Biore pore unclogging scrub. I'm going to use this as body scrub

TBS Tea tree cleanser. Going to use this as body wash coupled with my LUSH Christingle lotion once my L'Occitane almond lotion has been UUed (20ml tube).

Avenue facial wash. Am using this to clean make up brushes.

TBS 3 in 1 mask. Will use this rather than bringing a mask out of my stash.

On top of these items there are the following that I think will be UUed this week:-

    Elemis PCMC
    Liz Earle Skin Repair
    Liz Earle Eyebright
    Vaseline deodorant

Repainted my nails last night and am wearing OPI Berlin There Done That. Had forgotten how gorgeous this colour is.
