A review for an item that has been bought free or at a discount in exchange for a review can be fine, if it is a genuine review with a disclaimer.

The issue is that Amazon does not even bother to check the reviews and so allows through clearly duplicate reviews that do not relate to the subject of the review.

This makes all reviews suspect, even verified purchases.
