I have a couple of friends that I absolutely know would not be able to post to some other posters' standards (based on what has been posted on this thread and other similar ones) - lack of punctuation, misspelled words, wrong use of there/their/they're, loose/lose, apple's (I know) but I would view their contribution to this board as no less important than mine or anyone else who does know how to use the correct p/g/s.

I have to say Pollycat, you sure like to use the 'roll-eyes' smiley don't you? I actually thought that smiley was prohibited on here. That's why they took it off. (I can see you got yours from the internet and not from here.)
Are you aware that the roll-eyes smiley is prohibited on here?
Probably best to use it a lot less. Not only is it prohibited, but also, it's a bit rude to keep using it. It's an obnoxious smiley. It's OK now and again, but you use it a LOT. You must do, or I wouldn't have noticed.
Here's another NINE examples I found (in addition to the one in the first message I quoted; ^^^ ) and they are just from the last WEEK!I'd be far more inclined to take notice of reports like this if the message stayed consistent.
Red wine is bad for you. Actually, an occasional glass of red wine can be beneficial.
Red wine is bad for you. Pregnant women shouldn't drink alcohol. One small drink won't hurt. Everybody should stop drinking.
And don't get me started on butter! If she is worried that neighbours would report her, maybe adult Social Services would get involved and assess that your uncle needs to go into a care home - which is apparently what your family want to happen to your uncle anyway. So - she stops lifting him. He shouts. He gets put in a home. Job done.At school - where I learned and presumably so did you. So why ask the question then? So how do you determine which posters do have MS/dyslexia and which don't? How would you decide who should be corrected and who should not be? Maybe you could give me the winning lottery numbers with your crystal ball.
How do you know the person you sneered at in your opening post doesn't suffer from some illness that makes writing coherently difficult? We don't actually know if the OP's son and his wife (this so-called selfish woman's daughter) actually felt they were being taken advantage of.
I asked that question:
As for hunting down other posters' previous comments, I think when you start throwing stones, you should first make sure your house isn't made of glass.
As I said, it's probably a good idea to review how often you use this smiley.
Just a bit of friendly advice.0 -

It's probably a good idea for you to get out more.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Do you like this smiley better?
Do you have anything to post on the topic under discussion?
BTW, thank you soooo much for the 'friendly advice'.
Now I know that the smiley that you feel is so obnoxious is prohibited, I'll stop using it. :lipsrseal
Better now?0 -

I thought you had better things to do than go through and drag up people's old posts? And how about these words of yours from the other day, too..When someone posts a thread on here (not everyone; it depends if your face fits,) no matter what they post, someone will come along and have a go at them and criticize them and try and belittle them.
Pot, kettle, black?0 -

:T:T:T
Absolutley priceless, krlyr.
Glass houses and all that......
Well, well, well.
What do you know?
Petra_70 has deleted her rant where she complains of posters 'bullying' and 'haranguing' other posters (a bit like your treatment of me under the guise of 'friendly advice' in your post # 234, Petra_70?) and disses the practice of 'digging up old threads to discredit posters'.
And - funniest of all - in her now deleted post she maintains she has better things to do than drag up old posts. :rotfl:
Must be a slow day at chez Petra_70.
At least I stand by what I've posted. (now where's that smiley that I love so much......?)

Auto correct is a nightmare on the iPhone.
It's constantly trying to slip the wrong word in!

We used to have the rolling eyes smiley and it was used a lot. I probably wasn't paying attention, but I thought it was lost when MSE changed to a different bulletin board system. I hadn't realised that it offended anyone!52% tight0

In fact, I do believe I'm going to make it my New Year's resolution.
You don't think it's a little late to make resolutions, do you? :undecided
