  • Thanks so much all. Its been a pretty terrible year and I have had no time for anything that I usually try to achieve at home. My best friend has been amazing and has swept me off for little surprises and outings during the year to keep me going. As a family we did manage to escape to Camp Bestival a couple of weeks ago, but thankfully we had paid for it using a payment plan through ticketline and my little Friday cleaning job paid for the spending money.

It was a much needed break from the chaos of this year and has thankfully signaled a turn in our year as father in law looked after himself while we were away and effectively proved to us and himself that he was well enough to go home. :T

I did a VERY scary thing last Friday and applied for a job out of our local paper. It is a part-time 16-20 hours per week secretarial job at a local stud. (Horse breeders not hunks!! unfortunately haha). I received a phone call this morning inviting me for an interview Monday morning . I haven't been for a proper interview for about 16 years :o.

I have no clue if I have anything to wear for this interview, and if I will get the job, but hoping if I get it, it might bring in about £700-£800 per month. Hubby and I have agreed that if I get it, then we will pretend I haven't got the extra money and will use my wages to make a massive monthly extra debt payment.

That will mean that we will be throwing about £1000 against the debt each month which would be amazing.

Getting slightly ahead of myself though as expect they have lots to interview. :(

Not much else to report atm, had to buy three birthday presents this week and we also have a little camping trip that is already paid for next Thursday.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

The very best of luck to you with the interview. I really hope you get it. What a difference it would make to you, having that much to throw at the debts every month!

Oh Steph I'm glad to see you back but so sorry about all that has happened. How is your DH doing with everything that has happened? I'm sorry for the loss of his mum :(

Re the job, fingers crossed for you, it would be amazing. But the fact your debt hasn't gone up this year is definitely a really good result. When stressful situations arise, it can be very hard to keep on top of everything so very well done to you. Hopefully the rest of the year will look a lot rosier in all respects.
