was good on the allotment again, fresh, warm, breezy and sunny. I like it like this, before it gets too hot. I did indeed sort out my storage boxes and took out loads of odd oieces of meshes and cages that were partly broken. I filled the car, so went straight to the skip. I only have the meshes I will use in the boxes now, plus portable popup cages. Glad I wore gloves, there were some huge spiders in there

Tomorrow I will kondo and tidy two of my boxes in the garden. Should be a bit of an eye opener and will definitely wear gloves, I found a brown hairy caterpillar in there a few weeks ago. I feel like doing it now but that would be silly, I have done enough for today, even got a decent cycle in. Don`t want to do what I did last evening ie doze off in a chair

I cancelled my organic veg order today, it is starting to overwhelm me again. I steamed all my sprouting brocolli and asparagus, had some on my salad today and will drop two eggs into the rest tomorrow, to make some sort of omelette. I couldn`t eat it for breakfast though

pooky, nice one re the floor

Why did we keep manuals for appliances we ditched at least 5 years ago???

I was finally able to let go of much of my uni work too. Although I have kept my dissertation. That was months of my blood, sweat and tears. Even if it is nearly 8 years ago I qualified!

My local hospice had a Hats and Handbags sale on Saturday and I'd kondoed some hats that I'd never worn to them. Had an email this morning to say they'd helped to raise over £1300 - win win - great joy!!

    :T

I need a new hat for Ascot ladies day, might trawl some local CS's. :)

My OH still has uni stuff in our loft and he's in his 50s...... there wasn't much chance of me getting him to part with any of his MBA stuff in the office clear out yesterday, that was only 7 years ago.

My OH still has all his stuff from his Doctorate, MA, MSc and BA (although he has muttered something along the lines of "some of this can go" !!)

Can anyone help me to Kondo an annoying high pitched sound in the flat?
It sounds a bit shuddery and I would guess it's something electric. It stops if I bang on the work surfaces, but starts again right away. I tried turning off all electrical equipment, opening doors and listening in and can't seem to locate the source. If anyone else has experienced this could you suggest what it may be? Fridge seems fine.

A client has asked me to help her clear up, sort, then file or shred a lot of documents. I am fully booked this week and away next week but I have made time in a fortnight :D:D:D

On the theme of breakfast - tomorrow I shall have a light fluffy 2-egg omlette with two slices of cheese on top (total 50g), grilled to finish :) Low carb and only 210 cals for cheese and 140 for the eggs. It will keep me going til about 1.30pm.

Kondo of a couple of drawers planned for tomorrow afternoon, after art class in the morning. Looking forward to both!

Hope the interview went well Bettiepage!

ETA - Goingtodoit, I was going to suggest something in the fridge or freezer is vibrating against the drawers, shelves or the casing? Trying moving the contents away from edges or tops of drawers if poss? Also, heard very high pitched noise in MIL's kitchen a while ago, sounded very like an electrical whine. It was in fact a gas jet on her hob.
Not sure the above will help but hope it does! M
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

:) I made the mistake of trying to eat a pre-prep salad straight from the bowl. Boy, was that a dry and unpleasant experience! :rotfl:

I love chopping veggies a lot more than I like cooking so, for me, a chance to prep salads by grating carrots and chopping up crisp and colourful things and slinging them into a bowl is joyous, as is crunching my way through them with the tang of apple cider vinegar and the warmth of olive oil.

Nomnomnom. And have misplaced another 0.2 kg in the past 24 hrs (I blame the cycling because I sure as heck don't do exercise).

Today's cunning plan is working and then seeing a complementary health practioner after work, which will account for the next few hours nicely and also kondo some money.

:o I am still minus a device to play CDs on and don't actually feel deprived at all. I think I will sit on my hands until I do feel an uncomfortable lack and then (and only if it happens) will I go shopping.

I was trying to figure out how many boom-boxes I have owned since the early 1980s and think it must be pushing ten of them, although the last one lasted nearly 19 years......... how embarrassing to have been the cause of so much waste and pollution.

:D I know! I will sing to myself instead!

    Chorus of neighbours: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a thought does your "tower" on your computer not have a bit to take discs? The ones at my work do and believe me they are not new might help in the interim xx

    Hi all
Sound was coming from my bag- dumped on the kitchen worktop due to being distracted by the sound. I had used my work mobile to listen to something through earphones. It had started recording and I could hear high pitched feedback!
Would love to Kondo the work mobile :)
