I think you are right. I just took some cardboard out for recycling and dragged the wheelie bin a couple of yards and am puffing and panting.

Sitting on bum but did manage to get dressed and load dishwasher.
Wrapping a few birthday presents and doing a bit of cooking will be as hectic as I plan to get today.

Silva saver I know what you mean, whenever I plant something from seed the seed germinates and I think I'm doing well then something seems to go wrong and I can't !!!!! them out ... I'm sticking with shrubs and perennials.
    Yep, thats me.
Thanks for the stuff on scanners, I suppose what I meant was I don't know how to physically do it!!
Files and stuff I can never find again once it's on the computer.
Ah! What I'd do in your shoes is google the exact type of scanner you have (mine is the Epson SX218, for instance) and look for the instruction booklet as a pdf. That should help.

As for finding stuff ... I'm very careful about setting up folders for different things - financial info, online stories I like, my own writing, my cat website, my other website, my genealogy work, it all has its own main folder, and then subsid. folders nest down, on and on (and on :o). Even so, sometimes I have to use the search facility, but it works 99% of the time. I hope you find a way that works for you.

I think I was born decisive, spent all last evening researching and have today gone to a cycle shop and ordered a brompton, am getting a few add ons, the main one being the back rack with eazy wheels, which means that I can push it along like a shopping trolley :D so any lifting is just in and out of the boot. I am so looking forward to expanding my horizons and can see me cycling along the promenade. It will make the world of difference to me being able to get out and about, rather than looping around the village

    Gonna start, right now :)
You sound really happy, kittie, its great!

I have been at the hospital for the last two days having various tests and found out I have blood clots on both lungs again. The last time was seven years ago so thought I was fine.
So sorry to hear this, elona :( it sounds like there's effective treatment you can have? Horrible, horrible thing, though.

:( Sorry to hear about your lungs, elona, and please take care of yourself and get well soon.

Been on the go for 12.5 hrs today (daren't stop or I'll fall over ;)) have been doing Project Blanket sewing up before w*rk, then work, then home and a quick change into scruffies then up to my allotment.

Poor lottie, hadn't even seen it for a month due to ill-health, bad weather and being away for a weekend at the folks' town. Nothing horrendous has happened up there. Harvested a couple of leeks and got a bonus potato (leeks were planted straight into the ground the spuds were lifted out of, on the same day (14/08/16).

Spud and leek in steamer pan and will be eaten in a few mins.

Well, the new-to-me top was a success and will be having many more outings. Have cleared out the saved eggshells and tea leaves from the kitchen and added them into the allotment soil as improvements. That's meant a bit more space in there.

Space which has been take up with a s p i d e r which has been seen for the past three days cuddling up to the side of one of my over-counter plug sockets. It's a regular spider, not a spindly one like I nornally get. I think as it's hanging around in plain sight, it should be named.....

........ suggestions on a forum post, if you wanna play.

PS, those Br0mptons are superb, kittie, I'm sure yours will give you hours of pleasure.

Well the art class was very good. We got proper tips and instruction on techniques and colours etc. Ironically, after being in the caribbean for my hols, the subject was The Eiger'!! So no bright colours..... I can't claim to have faithfully reproduced the Eiger but I now have a generic snowy mountain scene that looks ok :rotfl:

After art class I visited my dear friend who lost her husband a few months ago. She has just felt strong enough to rejoin a social circle that they were both very involved with previously. I am so glad that she said she did enjoy it and no one made a massive fuss so she is happy to keep going back to the events.
Then i visited another friend for coffee and a catch up. She had an unexpected job offer (she was head hunted for a temp post and after setting out HER terms, they agreed and she starts on 1st March.).

So that day was very busy, although i was 'playing out', as opposed to working :rotfl:

Then I did a short day, working for 3 clients, doing my home help stuff. They all said they were glad to have me back :)

Today i took my car in for repair (nothing major, thankfully), went to my client's expecting to do the usual 3 hours and she asked me if i could also 'help' her (which of course means 'do it myself') make marmalade from scatch, 3 kilos of seville oranges being reduced at nearby W8rose!
So i worked from 10am until 3.30, with a 10 minute break for coffee. Then I collected my car and popped into see another client who asked me to get her a bit of shopping.
I am slightly tired this evening :rotfl:

Tomorrow i shall Kondo housework in my own home!

Oh, i should say that as I was putting away my holiday clothes last evening I did sweep a dress and top into CS bag and 2 tshirts into ragbag :)

And i kondo'd one of 1lbs I put on during the holidays :j
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Well GQ - first of all the s p i d e r is female so needs a female name. Depends on her personality really and whether she's a miss or a missus. Lots of options.
    Morticia, Cruella, Malevolentia, Mrs Phobia?????

Depending on the size of the aforementioned interloper (can you charge her rent do you think?) Shelob from Lord of the Rings springs to mind.

:T They're all good but I like this one best. Arachne she is. She'd better stay well clear of the spindlies as I believe they cannibalise other species of spider.

Am shattered as just came in from a pal's - she made me go around her house to eat YS M&S chocolate puddings.

They taste soooo much better at a 90% discount.......:rotfl:
