KonMari 2016 - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Well, just the weirdest thing ever has happened.
On the way back from eating out this evening, I got bitten by a fox! I'd bumped into an acquaintance this morning who told me they'd seen a fox trying to get into a car, then into a shop. It must be the same fox we encountered on our way home, OH spotted it outside the chip shop, we stopped and watched it, it walked up to us and bit my boot! Fortunately no damage, we shooed it away and walked on.
Looked fairly young, I can now see how one got into a house in London a few years ago and bit a baby.Make £2025 in 2025

That must have been scary slinky, hope you reported it before it does someone serious harm.
Put 3 pairs of black work socks into the rag bag as they have threads hanging out all over, I will bring 3 pairs of the new ones into use. I'm going to go through all my shoes and boots again, there are some in the cupboard that haven't been worn for some time (years), time to say thank you and release them.0 -
Please report the biting fox to the RSPCA and the police. Next time it could bite into someone's flesh.
I have had a family member and a friend bitten by dogs. The physical and psychological scars can last a lifetime.
I was reading the papers this morning and found an article for all the crafters on here. Apparently, prem babies respond very well to toy octopuses. Placing a little octopus in the crib calms the baby, improving its health. It might be that the tentacles mimic the umbilical cord, thus offering comfort and security.

Apparently the RSPCA have already been out and let it go when somebody managed to trap it in the local school grounds! Have discovered it's been quite active in the area over the past few days and a fair number of others have encountered it. Have messaged a local wildlife sanctuary to see what they suggest.Make £2025 in 2025

Update
DH decided that his man flu was severe enough to curtail his planned trip to Anfield (involving an hour drive each way plus 25min walk from car & back plus climb up many stairs) so has been home under my feet. I escaped to Sainsbugs and have been reviewing the clothes while he watched the match on TV from the comfort of the sofa!
Assuming he's a Liverpool supporter, I bet he was glad he stayed home!Make £2025 in 2025

I was going to catch up with the thread and the get a coffee before i started the chores but having seen how many posts there were thought i might i was get a coffee to drink whilst I caught up!
Although we still have a lot to KD and sort, the general house tidy and chores is getting faster. This I think is because things now have a home and don't have to be just left on the side and invite other things to be dumped next to them.
There is a possibility that I may get the next vacant plot and I am hoping that through KD I will realise that it will be a slow and steady race to get it how i want especially the grass that I have seen on it! The kids seem just as excited as me and have been discussing whether we should grow things for their smoothies as they don't get as many as they would like because I am shocked by how much the ingredients often are! I am a complete newbie to it so will be a challenging but hopefully rewarding adventure.
Anyway, meanwhile back in the real world I have a question for you all... I have a pine storage unit and have got four plastic tubs that fit perfectly. However being the fussy person i am I want he tubs to match the d!cor and have some spare material that i could put them on. Does anyone know the best way to do this... do i do it decoupage style or as a solid block cover. I like both ideas but can't work out which will stick on the plastic better and what glue to use?Don’t put it down - put it away!

They released the fox? Oh lordy!
My house is filling up again. I've had two time-wasting freeglers, and am also collecting gubbins for my charity's table top sale.
I'm also de-cluttering my liver of alchol, which means my drinks stash is not getting any smaller. Can't win!!!0 -

"It's because decimalisation meant 12 old pennies was 5 new pence and it simply was too petty to change them at the bank so many, probably most, households kept the burgers."
GreyQueen There was a jingle at the time: "use your old coppers in sixpenny lots" as 6 old pennies was equal to 2 1/2 pence new. Obviously didn't work
tibawo:so much would depend on the fabric and the plastic. Might it be worth gluing a test panel to see how it looks and if you're happy with it? Might a curtain be less of a faff? Have you got a photo or link to the unit, that might spark some ideas.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Obviously not, given the tonnage of the darned things still loose in the world. I was alive when decimalisation happened but don't really remember much about it, I was a young girl at the time and cash was something which didn't cross my world (or my palm) much.
Day 7 of the cold and I'm getting worse not better and feel absolutely atrocious. It's a filthy chesty cough which has been circulating around my office since the New Year. Had a go-round like this back in March 2008 amd it took 5 weeks to shift. Five weeks which co-incided with me getting my very derelict allotment and being very windy and squally.
Haven't done any kondo-ing bar a gentle stroll to put two library books in the returns receptacle, one of which was finished this morning. The rest of today is lying around on the sofa resting and feeling a bit sorry for myself.
Oh, and I stripped the bed and laundered the linen.
Just off to find out who owns the St3psil brand and buy shares in them.....:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
