Have a rather long 'to do' list today but I am looking forward to getting things sorted out. It is unlikely there will be much kondo-ing but sometimes it sneaks up on you, so who knows
Have a great day Everyone,

The last of the 3 bags of clothes this week is ready to take to the CS, a little annoyed with myself as I have a lovely red jacket to donate, it is a designer name. A friend in rather optimistic mood bought it from one of these fund raising clothes sales, lots of beautiful clothes at reasonable prices, she eventually realised that it would never fit and offered it to me after I had passed something on to her:D It does fit well, but I have so little need for this type of thing now:( After all this blathering the reason for my being annoyed is that I cannot find the packet with the spare buttons in, too safe a place I think:o:o Oh well I will keep it for a while longer and the buttons will turn up when I am searching for something else.
On the subject of buttons, I have 2 very large wooden boxes of them, one inherited from dear friend and the other from late MIL, I must have a sort out and see if a CS would like them, some are rather lovely, and many decades old.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Our local school is asking for buttons, they make Christmas cards with them. The buttons being either the Christmas tree or the baubles handing off the Christmas tree. It is a rather fun effect. Even the really dull beige ones are useful as a background for the colourful ones.
Dd2 dropped another Christmas ball, hurray! I think I'll send my dark blue balls to the secondhand store next October, they are too dark for the corner the tree is in, and do not show. I'd like a Christmas wreath on the front door, so I'll look for one in the after-Christmas sales.
DH just told me we can send items to his mothercountry through a friend, so I'll pack a moving box full of stuff! We seem to have a steady rotation in place now; I like it!Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
Today I am going to finish my reverse advent calendar food bank bag. i am going to a pound - type shop and will buy a load of sanitary wear to put in it and deliver it to the local food bank.
I feel better about what we are buying, eating and drinking if I can give a bit back.
I have a couple more bits to buy for stockings and something for OH. He is getting a voucher to use for a photo book at Bonus Pr!nt which we will put together in the new year. other than that i only have a book for him. I may do him a "bouquet of beers" - different types of bottled beer done up in cellophane. He is notoriously difficult to buy for.
I am supposed to be working - being a PhD student means managing my own time, but it is all too easy to do other things first. I will work today and tomorrow morning, then i am out with old work at lunchtime tomorrow and will start again when the hangover wears off on Thursday :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
VJsMum, Snap! Years ago my mum started giving DH a big box of bottled beer for xmas, all sorts from around the world. It is now a tradition. Usually the supply lasts till about April, which is handy cos his birthday is in April :rotfl:

Well, I waited in vain for BT to come yesterday. Apparently, my job got deleted off the system across the weekend as being closed off. Given that I'm dealing with somebody in the Chairman's office now about all this, they are being particularly hopeless. They're booked in to come tomorrow morning which is not at all convenient but I just want it sorted and they'll have to work around the chaos which is partly their fault.
I met up with my friend this morning and Kondoed some sanitary items which she is collecting for the local food bank. Hopefully I'm past needing them any more (does that count as Kondoing also?)Make £2025 in 2025

Bring it!
Oh, the deep joy it will be to plan holidays and trips without a calendar and a stash of these things, I can barely wait..........:D
Been at work today and briefly in before hurtling out to Christmas Archery. Which involves archery plus merriment, including shooting at random balloons, baubles and seasonal effigies - santa, the elves and the snowmen and rudolph are endangered species this evening round my way. Twang!
We may also have mulled wine. Watch out for a tall woman carrying projectile weapons and walking with a lisp due to intoxication.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Here's one for the green fingered...
Why did Santa want 3 gardens?
So he can ho (e), ho (e), ho (e)!
Have just put the hems up on 2 pairs of trousers. I am short of trousers as still losing weight slowly. Started packing for xmas trip and panicked. Out came the wundaweb (forgive me!) and they are all sorted.
The to do list has shrunk dramatically.
The weather looks grim for travelling North so we may make a run for it rather than spread the journey over longer time.

It has dawned on me today why putting up the tree and the odd Christmas bits was soooooo easy quick and without argument last night. IN January this year when everything got put away I had a really good sort out of it all and packed it away in boxes with lids of uniform size and a couple of large biscuits tins with hinged lids. Anything that was rubbish and recyclable, was. Anything donatable to CS, was and all was stashed away in a cupboard that is virtually inaccessible without a step ladder and only houses the electric meter and the Christmas stash.
Last night out came the boxes with everything neat and tidy - lights carefully rolled up, breakables all together in the tins and sentimental stuff in a box. I was so impressed ( with myself) that I took a photo of the box as it was opened so we might have an idea what goes back in each. I am going to print out photos and put inside each box - OH wasnt impressed with this as it is 'too much like your work' - teacher. He is lucky that I am not putting a bilingual list of the contents on the outside of each box and a detailed photo of each item ....................:rotfl:
Anyway just thought I would share this little KM victory. One of which I had forgotten about!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
