Morning kondoista's, how was the weight loss challenge? I wanted to reach 60 kg by my big birthday, failed but have shifted 2kg so progress in the right direction. Chuck paid a visit over the week-end and overcame Justin in DH wardrobe. One pile of rags off to guides to become "guys" and better bits to chazzer. Have a good day everyone.

Since we redecorated the bedroom And moved it round I've been looking for a slim table to go my side of the bed, for morning cuppa etc to go on. Haven't found just what I want but yesterday I nipped into the attic and spotted the spare aquarium stand (the aquarium and its proper stand went to the CS a few weeks ago) this stand was given to us for 'justin' incase ours broke anyway it looks like it will fit the job perfectly so I've just lugged it down out of the attic and am currently hot gluing the peeled edging laminate back on. So that's something out of the attic being used and nothing else new coming in.

I daren't go near the scales at the moment, two weeks of luxury hotel food including afternoon cakes brought round every day did nothing for my waistline. Low carbing it again now to shift the extra 4lbs I acquired. Will try the scales next week and see how I'm doing.

I'm not doing this in strictly MK style, but I realised over the weekend that the kitchen had become jammed with stuff - so much that there was no working surface left. It can't fully change until the bookcase is out of there, and that can't go until the bookcase its replacing has been sold ... you know the game, house tetris, grrr. But still, some tidying. The teaset I want to get rid of has been taken out of the cupboard it was cluttering. The German stein I was given more than 30 years ago but never, ever used, and was sitting on my most accessible mug space, is likewise on the table. All of this will have photos taken, and I'll experiment with the local fb selling group, otherwise its charity shops all the way.

It's sort of MK, anyway - *all* my mugs live in the kitchen, after all :D

:) Just had a taker for a freegle item offered yesterday, it's possble this thing might go tonight, or one evening soon. It's not a huge win as it's about a carrier bagful, but it's one of those useful-but-only-in-very-specific-circs items which would be a PITA (imo) to a chazzer.

Dad has been going through a carrier bag of old paperwork from Nan's - Aunt has been going through papery stuff, also.

Shedloads of cards have hit the recycling bin, and lots of pretty useless ephermera. Such as a condolence card sent to my great-great-great granny on the death of my great-great-great grandpa - in 1904.:o

The bungalow is concealing more papery stuff than was apparent at a glance. It's all neatly in drawers and cupboards. There is also a mysterious home-sewn stuffed toy animal of no species recognisable to the parental units. My best guess from the description is a duck-billed platypus - carrying a spade. Given that's something you don't see every day, they have promised to do nothing with it until I've had a chance to see it. :rotfl:

Other items inc things like 30 year old brochures and all sorts are sifting out of the woodwork. Convos between my parents and another of the grandchildren have homed some items of garden tool and similar variety. Stuff isn't physically being removed yet, apart from paperwork, as it's not exactly seemly to empty her bungalow while she's still living.

It's on a small close, surrounded by homes belonging to the extended family and her friends of 70 years' standing in some cases, so it's a very public event.

GQ, is it a mole? Sort of duckbill platypus shaped but a digger, hence the spade??

Stuff dropped at local tip on way home tonight and I made a mental note that it is open til 6pm thro' Oct so I can make good use of it.

Today's work included helping a client sort out seasonal clothes. Boy was I glad I had kondo-folded and sorted the garments before they went into the loft at the start of summer! :D It made the change over so easy (although there is more to do later in the week).

I do love helping my clients with the very varied range of tasks they throw at me - opened jars, re-set clocks after battery change, rang a consumer helpline about a faulty product, changed 2 light bulbs, found a lost pair of earrings, and general cleaning. All in a day's work, as they say! :D
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

:) I thought it might be a mole, too, but apparently not. Or, so badly made that it doesn't look like a mole. It's supposed to have a duck-like bill. My mind boggles.

A freegler has been and gone so that's a carrier bagful out of here. Going offline for the night to rest, see you all tomorrow, if we're spared.;)

3 fleabay parcels posted this morning - and another 3 sold today :j These will be parcelled up later (after smallest is in bed) and posted tomorrow morning after school run :T As well as the items themselves going, this ebaying is using up some of my packaging stash :D

Spent most of the day in the garden - planted up all my pansies and other bought flowers (from ALdee) - pots recycled straight off. Some dead prunings and leaves burned in chiminea along with unwanted card and secure paper waste.

OH mowed the lawns and did a spot of tidying in the garage - got rid of some old and battered ceiling lights (all spotted with age), a bag of solidifying plaster from a couple of years ago and identified some beautiful mosaic glass tiles which we don't need - I will freegle those as they are too gorgeous to just bin and I am sure someone can make use of them. Also found 2 attachments for the vacuum cleaner we left at the bottom of the drive a week or so ago and which went - attachments got binned, as we have no idea who wombled the vac :) Oh - and got rid of a box from my old laptop - burned it. Also identified a couple of items from the garage which can go in the NNS, so these have now come in the house for pricing :)

Should be another nice day tomorrow, so I will be back in the garden after fatclub and OH is back in the garage :) (Needs a nice day to tidy it, as the contents get emptied onto the drive :D)
