apparently Twerking has been around and used since the 1920's

Yodel where we used to live and up at my Dad's are useless (used to be useless here as well but after I got Trading Standards involved they changed the driver :o), Hermes are pretty good but DPD knocks them all into a cocked hat :D

:) Well done on the cats, mavvy, sorry to hear about the scratches, but you've done massively-good work there. Will the kittens be tamed and re-homed?

Was busy on the allotment last night and it was still so hot up there that I ended up feeling a bit peculiar - well, more peculiar than whatever passes for normality with me.:rotfl:

Before breakfast, I finished a libary book and took it back there right after work. Bought some salmon and broccoli for tea, ate half and froze half of each uncooked and am about to start packing up a few bits & bobs to go over to the parental home after w*rk tomorrow.

Lots of things I could be doing but I'm a wee bit weary and want to save some mojo for the top of that sideboard. It is my ambition to also Find the Window Key.

The parental home has uPVC double glazing and the front living room window is a huge single pane with no cross-bar, the biggest the company could manufacture as a single sheet. And, when you can unlock it, it will open like a hinged door and swing inwards and, as the windowsill is only about 3 ft above ground, it's wonderfully easy if you need to get big things in and out of the house. A few delivery persons have been gobsmacked and delighted by this over the years.

The Key (the only key) used to live on the windowsill there but vanished. The sideboard is by the window. I have cleaned under the sideboard and kondo'd it but I haven't found the key yet. In my dreams, if I can get entirely up that corner, The Key may be lurking.

Finding it would be a joyous thing for Mum and would make my weekend. It's gotta be there somewhere, this is a family house where Stuff very seldom gets ejected. I will find it, I will, I will!
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

    Hello all :D

Delivery sitting in the depot today as they are now saying they have no address at all  Even though it has been for 2 rides out with no address on it you just have to laugh. I just said how lucky then it arrived at my local depot with no address how strange is that when it could have gone anywhere else in the country :rotfl:thank you for the info In need of direction. Trouble is they are all idiots I have now said to the seller it can be returned to them as I cant be bothered anymore.

I will reorder making sure DPD are the carriers.:D

The kittens were going to be caught and tamed and rehomed but CPL have a waiting list. Have asked me to carry on feeding etc and then at 16 weeks old they will all be spayed etc and then returned to me here. There is plenty of room for them all and they think as Lola will not have another litter these kittens will stay with her for months as she wont kick them out.

Not likely they will all stay some will move on but at least they would have had the best possible start and chance to thrive.

So what will be will be but I have done my best and cant do a lot more. Lolly and Lola havent been seen all day as they both hate me now !!! But I am sure all will be ok in a couple of days.

Mrs Mp yes it was me with the raffle tickets. and I will try and catch up with you over the weekend. I will message you as I am working in Sheringham on Saturday PM (woodfields) next to tescos and would love a quick catch up with you and a longer one with Kaz as well would be great in August.Bring your factor 50 as its so hot here at the moment

Yay, the customer HAD left a cheque with his staff, he's only post dated it until Monday which I expected as it's his habit. I have celebrated with my glass of wine, and a peanut butter Cornetto which I bought by accident when buying a lettuce on the way back from my customers...... whoops!

We're currently in Florida on a 3 week holiday - 6 of us and we managed packing in 5 small suitcases and 1 large one - the large one was because I brought 2 spare carseats with us - saves us renting them and they can then be left at the airport, rather than making the return journey home. We've been here just under a week and so far I have thrown 1 bra (lost a wire - it was old and the matching knickers died ages ago, so I can't complain), 3 pairs of socks from DS3 (worn thin and losing elastic, so he's now surviving on 3 other pairs - which is fine for hols, tbh) and a tshirt which has developed lots of holes which I didn't realise. I also packed samples of washing powder and softener, so they are being used up, along with small toiletries - nothing bought especially for the trip, so all are things being used up and less items coming back home :D

Realised before coming on hols that previous 2.5 months had taken its toll on my house (lots of work - both paid & voluntary - followed by a family member getting ill/ dying and their funeral the week we came away) and things have slipped. I am dealing with the estate of family member, so will have that to sort when I return home (have left other family members getting valuations sorted for probate whilst I'm away), along with (the still not done :() company accts for DH plus our 2 personal tax returns, plus accounts for the charity I'm treasurer for. Waaaah! Oh - and helping DD get ready for Uni (hopefully Cardiff, depending upon grades)

So... I will be back on the KM wagon big-style when home. I may re-start from the beginning, as I feel that will focus me more.

I take elderly underwear and nearly-dead sandals on holiday so that I can leave them behind in the bin at the end. This year's collection is sitting in a shoe box ready to go into the suitcase.
I also leave my holiday reading behind in the guests' bookcase and the left over toiletries go to local charities (hotel organises this).
Keeps the weight down for the return journey :D

I have really let things slip lately, I was not aware how much until we started having some essential maintenance done to the house. The house is a mess with all the stuff going on and it's getting me down, so I need to get back on the kon Marie wagon as soon as the tradesmen have left and my health improves. Hopefully, both of which will be soon. :)

GQ be careful, dear one, when working in the heat. Be sure to drink twice as much cool water as you would in normal circumstances. Heat exhaustion can really sneak up on you quickly. Staying hydrated is key. Stop what you are doing and rest. You can flick or mist cool water on your face, neck, wrists etc and fan yourself to cool down. If you feel ill lie on the ground and elevate your feet slightly, in the shade if possible.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

That's such a good idea :) I used to schlep down to London for gigs quite a lot and I'd do that with the knickers I wore ;) Might do the same when we go to Spain , I need a clear out anyway so might pack my knickers this weekend and then they're gone from the drawer.

I have a present stash in the loft for DSs frienDS parties - just had a sort through an most of the stuff left in it was too young for his friends now o just listed it all on my local Facebook group and its all sold already. Just need it to be collected now :)

Made a good start on the till receipt piles before work, and got to grips with some filing too, so there is progress. Movement in the right direction anyway, even though the end of the paperwork category is nowhere near in sight.

But my next project will be to kondo a good six inches off the width of my duvet cover. For some strange reason it seems Ikea's idea of kingsize is not the same as ours. Ikea's kingsize would probably match our superking. Unless, with it being 100% cotton, they allowed room for shrinkage, but it hasn't shrunk despite innumerable washes. So I need to put in a new side seam and trim off the excess. I got rid of my machine long ago due to its old age and brittle plastic knobs but DD has a new one, so I will borrow that to get the job done.

I'm finding that stating my intentions on here speeds things up a bit!:D
