Morning all.
I found the only way to decide on some things was to wear them. Sometimes wearing would be about 30 seconds and I'd know they just felt wrong, sometimes it took a couple of hours.
I think I will start cycling through all my tops, too, to check I'm still feeling the lurve. Some have been resting for the colder months and will start to be used again in the next couple, as they are lighter-weight ones.
Had a bit of a moment last night when I thought I had kondo'd without due care and attention; couldn't find the charging stand for my leccy toothbrush.
Now, I had it with me at the folks' and haven't seen it here since I came back late on Monday night. Had a lot of Stuff with me, some of which was my stuff and some of which was donation stuff, and had a horrible moment when I thought the charger had gone with the chazzer stuff.Found out far too late last night to ring the folks' but they're early risers so rang this morning and it is still plugged in upstairs. Whew! Shan't have to rush down to the chazzer before work and stick a note through their door asking them to check the three bags I left yesterday afternoon. :rotfl:

Morning all
Glad you found your charger GQ
Going to set some tomato seeds in recycled mushroom boxes I the kitchen window today so they get a head start before the grow bags appear in the shops.
Made a discovery this morning when I found a 2nd drawers of seed packs so tally of packs is back up to
14 salad type greens, 6 flowers, 9 vegetables plus I've still got half a box of flower seeds to scatter at mils.
Need to rethink the area I'm putting tubs and planters for veggies on and find a source for cheap grow bags. Thankful all the new seeds I've found are Still in date and some are good till 2018 so I can hold a few back for next year as they are all things well eat.
Reason for the sudden reinterest in flower growing is dd has said if I can grow enough variety of pretty garden flowers I can do her wedding flowers. She lives in a flat so can't garden. I have this year to practice as the weddings not till 2017.
Noticed a lamp upstairs that we never use so that's earmarked for the next CS run.SPC~12 ot 124

Good morning all
GQ - glad that you hadn't sent the charger to charity, it did make me chuckle as I can see me doing something like this.
Last night I changed all my top hangers in the wardrobe around so they are facing the other way, so I don't wear something twice before I've gone through them all, I actually thought I didn't have many tops... turns out I have a fair few, I just don't wear many of them...
Today I will be tackling my jewellery, not sure why I have so many earrings since I don't wear them - I know there's necklaces that are nearly a decade unworn. And everything else nearly 4-5 years unworn.0 -
Morning all
Glad your lady lumps are ok, GQ. Had to have a mammogram myself yesterday (routine), so hopefully mine will be too
So the last big job of the whole house kondo is in process - skip ordered to be delivered tomorrow  Jeez, the price of skips :eek: We are clearing the garage and demolishing two sheds. These sheds are at the end of our garden but central to the house (think tennis court size - the sheds are the umpires chair). So they are the thing you focus on when you look out of the window. One has a hole in the roof where a tree branch fell onto itand both have back walls caving in. We are in a cul de sac off a main road and our "back" neighbours on the main road are having a new garden wall built. Therefore by demolishing the sheds we get the benefit of the wall :T
The garage needed clearing anyway and now we need somewhere to store the shed contents while we decide what to do as a replacement. I don't really want one at all. One shed was a kind of playhouse for the kids (that they never really took to), the other has a lawnmower and a couple of garden-y bits. OH stores his tools in our office  but that's another story. There is a dead lawnmower in the garage (just in case - who needs a dead lawnmower???)
We have dead space at the side of the house, where i am thinking of putting a storage box rather than a full blown shed.
I think we might need a bigger skip.....:rotfl:
I am waiting in for a blind man today - a man to fit blinds, that is :pI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Morning all
Some great kondoing posts as normal great idea about ditching stuff on holiday and not bringing it home.I will be doing this from now on
I have been sorting more 'stuff' out and find myself with 5 storage boxes left over with not a thing in themSo have proudly stacked them up before I decide what to do with them. Most likely they will end up in the village hall shed to be used there
I am the clothes queen I believe:rotfl: and I also wear something and if its not quite right ends up in the chazzer bag.
Did this with all underwear always took from the front of the pile and if it was joyful got washed and put back at the back until I did the whole lot.I still do this as then things get even wear and the matching sets get worn together as that always brings me joy
I have a 2016 fete meeting today I cant believe where the time has gone as it feels like the 2015 one was only a few weeks ago
So back on the hunt for trash and treasure items again :rotfl:Going to buy the bags and then try and do them as I go and put them in the shed (in the storage boxes;)) to get them out of the house which is the thing I hate about doing it.
So if anyone is this way on weekend 30th 31st July we could do with a hand :rotfl:
I havent been able to do the 30 day cleaning book as I have been to busy decorating and I have never been classed as superwomenBut I dont see why the 30 days cant be done over 60 days after all it will all be done but just over a longer time.
GQ glad all is ok with your lady bumps:)
Skirting boards calling to be sanded down so had better start sometime soon.
Have a joyful day all and notice the small things if you can

We have 3 of these VJsmum the plastic ones with the 2 doors on the front and a lift up lid they are for bike storage I think. But they are really excellent and hold loadsWe have 2 in with the Chooks for all their food, bedding etc.and one just outside the back door with dog food, mop and bucket. and a chest of drawers with a the decorating stuff in
They were on offer at HB for about £90 each but well worth it in my opinion

I have two plastic dustbins for the same sort of outdoors storage
they take bags of charcoal, bark chippings, a few tools, that sort of thing - they're at the back of the house, and the binmen use wheelie bins, so they're not in danger of being accidentally chucked away ... but there are limitations on what you can put in them, of course.

Must be the week for sorting tops.............. I bought 2 new long sleeve from the latest N8xt sale for work, for the autumn. Pre KM I would have stashed them in the cupboard, having got all the other tops out and refolded and ut all of them back and then promptly forgot about the new ones. But now, before putting them away, I pulled out 2 tops that I havent worn in 12 months, even thought they have missed 2 kondo culls and put those in CS bag - 2 in, 2 outBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
