Just for the record, Wilkos do accept them but don't seem to have any Amex stickers around their checkouts. Amex contactless system doesn't operate there either, you'll need chip'n pin.But there are lots of places that don't accept it - including numerous smaller shops and local restaurants.

it's a shame there isn't a 1% cashback Visa/Mastercard on the market, and it seems that, despite suggestions that they would do, Barclaycard never offered a 'straight Visa cashback' account afterall:think:
i am tempted to ask them to change my Freedom Rewards account into one of these Amex/Visa accounts, as my existing BT deal has been transferred away. if i do so i will probably just cut up the Amex card and use the Visa one.0
