Thanks for the comments re my ongoing uti's! Yes, I agree CAMELOT & CANDLELIGHT about younger doctors. I think the older ones are a bit stuck in their ways and not prepared to change their views (and I say this as someone who worked (clerically!) in general practice for many years!) so fingers crossed these new antibiotics do the trick and, if not, I shall ask for this young doctor again. CAMELOT the IC can be blamed on certain food/drinks but over time I have excluded them from my diet but not noticed any improvement. According to this new doctor 1 in 10 repeat uti sufferers do not respond to the usual medication so I guess I am that 1 person!! GERS I am glad the D-M is still working for your mum by the way. Sadly, after persevering with it a few times, it didn't help me.
I don't know where Frank is now but he appears to have left us. The wind has dropped and the rain has stopped. There have been too many of these storms recently, let's hope Frank was the last of them. My friend's DD lives near York and she has been on red alert for evacuation for a couple of days but is still in situ (for now). What a nightmare it's been for a lot of people recently.
Have a nice evening folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Crossing fingers and toes that the treatment works for you at last.
Decided not to go and get weighed tonight but to go with older dd who will drive me early tomorrow morning instead. She might stay and have a home made SW lunch with me as I have just cooked a big pan of low fat mince with garlic, peppers, onions, mushrooms and passata and she fancied the sound of it. Will put it in the fridge as soon as it cools a bit and finish clearing up the kitchen.

I was really impressed as he came across as caring and sympathetic, which is more than can be said for some I have seen! He has given me yet another different anti-biotic to try but told me not despair as there are things which they don't like to prescribe but can be offered when all else fails. I wonder why the Consultant has never told me this!
I'm in the same situation with anti-depressants; the one I'm on now is rarely prescribed, but nothing else was working any more.
Hoping everyone is safe and well; you know, they need to stop naming these wretched storms, it just encourages them!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
