Pay&Go, no regular topup, with data?

I use my phone less these days, Not impressed with the upgrade options over my Galaxy S4 and considering Pay as you Go.

Currently on Vodafone and really must do something because i am now paying £20+ when my contract has run its term. Not very MSE.

Currently Unl Min, Unl Txt, 1GB data.

A lot of the Sim only deals seem rather expensive and monthly topups are almost essential to keep the data costs within reason.

approx monthly usage, 600mb data, under 100 texts and a couple of hundred minutes of calls. This was last months bill. I can cut data to below 500 and txts down to under half that, minutes vary from month to month though.

I can get this with a phone for under £13 on voda.. other options? I really must do something about my contract now.

unless you commit to a monthly plan you are not going to get any "deals" , how about £6 a month? , 1500 mins unlimited TXT and 1 gig of data , on a rolling 1 month contract that you can cancel at any time

in true MSE fashion "life mobile" via uswitch https://lifemobile.co.uk/Basket/SimChoice/89 using the EE network , and UK call centres that DO answer calls

ok , not quite what you asked for "no regular topup" , but a hell of a lot cheaper than you are paying now

as above , without a monthly commitment you are going to be struggling , voda/o2/ etc 35-+ a min , even giff gaff 10p per min plus 20p (20 meg max) for a rather slow internet access

umm , at 3 times the price of competitors?

there are NO basic PAYG setups that can compete with either a 12m , 24 mth or in the case I showed above a ONE MONTH contract

your suggestion was not not very MSE
