Mortgage Application with a CIFAS Fraud marker

Hi,
Can anyone please help?
I applied for a mortgage in January of this year via a broker, as part of the application I foolishly falsified my bank statement to increase my level of borrowing, the application was duly declined and I can no longer get any credit. Before people begin with the criticism I realise this was bloody stupid and that I deserve to be in the position I am in now, however I need to by a house for me and my kids so I'm keen to understand if there is anything I can do.
This is even more frustrating as I didn't actually need to inflate my salary to get the house I wanted to buy!!! God knows why I did it.
To cut a long story short I now have a CIFAS marker against my name for Fraud - falsifying documents. I understand this will now remain for 6 years from the date of issue.
My question is are there any lenders who do not check CIFAS, I have seen some threads where people mention Chorley Building Society, is this the case and is anyone aware of any others?
Not sure if it will make any difference but I would be looking at a house for around $700k with a deposit of £250k. My credit file is impeccable with the exception of the CIFAS.
Any light anyone can she would be gratefully received.
Thanks

If the story is genuine you have no chance of getting credit with a fraud marker on your record.0

God knows why I did it.
You did. That's all that matters. Without trust financial relationships simply cannot exist.0 -
Why don't you buy a house cash for £250,000 if you actually have that as a deposit. There are many good houses for that price.0

Thanks for the feedback, very much as I expected!
Given my landlord is looking to sell and I can't get another rental property my only option is to now to look the local council to house me and my family despite being able to afford a house, totally crazy given I will be taking a house from a family in need!0 -
I used to work for Manchester City Council, I doubt you will be eligible for council housing if you have £250k at your disposal. They might put you on a waiting list but that's as far as you will get.0

I live in London which is where my job is based, id be hard pushed to get a three bed house (needed for children) for anything less than £400k. To remain in my job and current location I would need circa £700k.0

Cifas marker will stay with you for thirteen months, not six years.0

You have £250k in the bank....you can get another rental property by paying 6 months rent in advance. It's not that hard. I have zero provable income, do not rely on benefits and can easily rent a property.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Given that assets are not (yet) shown on CRA files, one might ask the question how would the council find out about your £250k?0 -
I spoke with CIFAS and anything logged after 2013 last for 6 years.0
