Plusnet leaving

PLUSNET -are refusing to hear that I left their service and moved to Virgin on 29th October - they are continuing to send me monthly bills and threatening emails.
They are threatening to cut off my service - about which I don’t care as I no longer use it!
But the accruing bills are a worry as this will effect my credit rating.
I have called them and told them, I have told them in online chat who said they could not do anything and I would have to write a letter!
I have now written a letter !
Virgin initially said they would take care of the transition and I “wouldnt have to do a thing” which I no realise of course was a lie to get my business - they have agreed ( after an hour on the phone ) to pay the outstanding Plusnet bills from Oct, Nov to Dec when I called Plusnet to tell them I had closed my account.
It is not 29th Dec and I have another £40 bill from Plusnet!
How do I get rid of them!???
