Igor, we are not happy! We got on board this morning to find that the cruise company's definition of "light duties" was totally at variance with what we were led to believe!

instead of giving talks on crochet lace edgings for tea tray cloths, Mrs Doyle was shown a mountain of teacups and saucers and told her job was to do the washing up. 1500 cups and saucers to be washed up after breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, every day!

LadyTrucker, expecting to spend her days sat doing some gentle fishing, has been put in charge of gutting and filleting all the fish in the seafood restaurant. Gawd knows how she is going to get on filleting the octopus, it's a big booger!

Knitwitch, instead of doing some genteel mending tasks, you know, sewing on the odd button, she has been put in charge of washing and ironing all the sheets - all 1500 of them, every day.....

My spot of flower arranging? For that read set all the tables in all the restaurants for every meal. Lucky old Helga gets to clear them all.

Hubert, instead of dance tuition, is in charge of carrying stuff from one end of the ship to the other when required.

And marmite? Sod the napkin folding - she was last seen heading towards the cabins carrying a mop, a bucket and a giant toilet brush.....

Nargle I gotta say you knew what you were doing when you gave me the fish gutting job!! I thought the fish were wriggly critters but that octopus is in a league of its own. Hold one tentacle down and seven more wrap themselves around you making it impossible to do anything.


I shall have to have a think about how to tackle this one, hmmm.

Not been updating my NSD count for a while, but I'm back in for this month - setting my target at 22.

Had one food shop so far, and one day gift buying, so today is NSD #3.
