Well today is not going to plan.
I did finish the blind. Replaced the skirt zip, jeans zip, and shortened some sleeves in a jacket, and then started to shorten a bed spread. Oh and fixed a few seams on another jacket.
I went to Towcester to drop off the photos and ended up helping decorating the room with balloons and banners etc
So by the time I have got home I only had an hour and a half to relax, eat, etc
I'm hoping to get a quick bath, but was really wanting a pamper afternoon!
    Oh well.

Well DD was very surprised to see everyone hiding away in the upstairs room. One off her friends came all the way down from Derbyshire and went back again in the same night.
I was up at 6.30 to take DS to his job. But as DGD was at a sleepover I did get to go back to bed again till mid morning.
It's been catching up with a bit of repair work in the garden, to cover DS's bike again, re rig the washing line and cover, put the window back in the shed. It needs a new roof. So I will have to order more felt, or something similar to salvage it as it won't last the winter otherwise.
I have a wash load now out on the line, the rain has gone and the sun is out. DGD is still around her friends for dinner too!
My next job is to see about covering my stool to match my sofa covers I did last week.

The second load of washing is on the line, a couple of the first things are dry. Third load in the machine. I will catch up! I will.
The stool is covered. Still have a house that looks like a bomb site. But I want to do something else for a while. I feel like a little research and some reading until the current washing load is finished. Then perhaps I will attack another job or two.

I was back to bed by 8.30 last night. Although I did wake a few times. The alarm woke me an hour ago, and I'm still in bed. I've been looking at my bank balances, moving funds into savings, and listening to a guided mind session, oh and drank my first cup of tea. It's still dark, and I am wanting to stay tucked up in my bed!
Fleetingly the urge to take the day off went through my mind, but of course I can't just do that. I think I have a 9.30 fitting for a start. Staff won't be in much before 11 either.
The other Mum is due to do the school walk this morning. So I can potter a little longer before I go to work. I never did do the accounts. So I will be kicking my self later on as it must be done. I got out of the routine and now I'm weeks behind.
The clean washing is about the bathroom and sitting room and I still have several loads to do as I didn't get any done on Saturday.
But the load that's still on the line is under the covers so it may dry today.
I'm trying not to tumble dry as it takes forever in the washing machine, and while it drys then it can't wash.
Time to make sure DGD is awake, so no more excuses I need to get out of my warm bed, and possibly put the heating on for a short blast.
    Have a good day everyone.

Fairly busy today. But the shop itself was quiet. Only one fitting.
The lady was supposed to collect her blind but didn't turn up.
I tried again to chase up the error with my council tax, but was passed from pillar to post and no help. I have emailed them trying to explain my frustration at their figures.
I was supposed to be taking DGD to Brownies but she has bumped her head and has a headache so Calpol and a wet flannel and stay at home.
Had a confrontation with a man who blocked my car in. I did ring the police for advice, and was going to give them the registration number, I was being transferred when DGD hurt herself. Or he would have had a visit from the police.
Now I just want to relax and try and find my karma as its pretty negative at the moment.

So I went to bed around 9pm and lights out around 9.30
I woke twice for the loo, and woke at 5.24am
I do try to get back to sleep but gave up and listened to two meditation sessions instead. Attracting a better health balance etc and attracting money. I want people to come and Collect their finished items and pay for them. I'd like to rebuild my bank balances as they are very low compared to recent months as September and October have been way over budget so far. Helping the family and birthdays mainly.
I lack focus, and at the moment with the darker days, I struggle with motivation. I swear I could hibernate all winter.
That is why I dream of retirement abroad. To have vitality from the brighter sunny days. Even if it is not so hot.
How can I ever do that if I don't now amass funds, and create opportunities for myself?
I would like to find that happy life work balance, and the elusive ease of which to live my life. I would like to stop the treadmill and have time to enjoy my life and the grandchildren.
    But don't we all.
I am going to have to wake DGD and get us ready for school and work. I have a feeling that she will not be wanting to go to school today as she was not very settled last night.
So best foot forward, calm and logical, and focus on a positive attitude rather than the negative one!
    I have a fitting at 10.30
I am babysitting the others again at 5.45 as the other granny is very poorly and can't.

I think DGD may have slight concussion as her pupils are very large under the bright lights they should have dialated more. She's still complaining about headache and tummy ache.
So that means that I better take her with me and watch her.

So, a copy of the letter I had in September from Benefits was in today's post.
    Still all wrong of course.
Yesterday I emailed and said I was getting fed up and why can't I get a straight answer etc and would somebody sort it before I sought legal advise.
I ring again just now on receiving the copy, to reiterate that it is wrong, and finally the woman said, an email has gone up to the supervisor as even she can see that the calculations on the council tax are wrong, and that the housing benefit was sorted. Eureka!!
How long will it take to sort out? She doesn't know.
But let's hope it gets sorted.
Now all I need to do is tell them that the costs have gone up again!!

Morning. Today is my official day off. Not that there is very much to do at work. I am planning to continue with my washing etc and my Muscle Food delivery is also due at some stage. That will top up the freezer nicely, and I am aiming towards November being a no spends month where possible.
It means using my skills and planning ahead. (Not my best skill planning). Or is that more the Actioning after the planning?
DS needs to be taken food shopping again. Hopefully he was fashioning a list last night.
DGD is going back to school.
Mums bed needs changing but I no longer have to do any gardening. I'm not sure if we will get to go out later or not yet.
Today is "pay day" so it's the day I shuffle money between accounts and pay myself first by putting money back into the emergency funds.
If there is not a lot more work at the shop over the next few days I won't be in a position to pay me anything until I make sure I have the rent in.
Only £850 banked in October so far, which is only just what I expect for a week, not nearly 3 weeks.
I must stay positive, it will come in faster soon.

Mooloo Glad dgd has recovered . I think you're doing really well to keep battling on against the challenges . Maybe now the weather is cooling down the demand for repairs to coats etc will increase . Not what you want I know but hopefully will help keep the wolf from the door . I spent time yesterday trawling through Elaine's recipes on the old blog and noting the cheap , warming and filling ones . I aim to try and get back to much more batch cooking for both financial and time management reasons . I always feel more in control when I do so .
I took the virtual trip around the shop last week and enjoyed it very much . I loved all the threads - a girl can never have too many of those ! Looking back to when you first took on the shop the changes are amazing , it doesn't look like the same place . Give yourself a pat on the back , if hard graft and determination will lead to fulfilling your dreams , you will get there . :)
