That's good news about the flat bed. Your neck and back, if you are dealing with heavy fabrics like curtains, is going to thank you.
Good luck with the car - I hope it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
Have a great holiday. I can skip the sun, but wouldn't mind just popping over to Portugal for a few meals :-)

I doubt that it will be that hot this time of year. The forecast is dubious with rain Sunday and Monday but around 20•c on The predictions for the rest of the week.
As long as the Zoomarine is open and DGD gets to see the dolphins it will be ok.
She comes home today. I haven't heard from them all Easter so she must be getting used to her Mums. Don't know whether that is a good thing or a bad one. ( depending on which side of the coin your on I suppose).
The garage will have to just fix the car at what ever the cost is, so my Emergency funds may be hit, unless I use the credit card and then snowball my payments like I did last month.
I ended up dipping in to my normal savings to rescue DS and his little family as his wages were late in the bank. Although he has promised to pay me back - where have we heard that before?, I doubt it will happen all in one go anyway. But I knew that before I lent it to him.

The final countdown has begun. Just waiting for the taxi to collect us. After a mix up and it arriving 12 hours early in the middle of the night. I made an initial mistake of booking it on a 12 hour clock basis and not a 24 hour one, but I had contacted the company and asked to amend it. Obviously they didn't. Now I am being charged the £68.50 for the taxi, and trying to get the bookings company to cover it.
I rang them this Morning and asked if they recorded their phone calls. She said they did, and even agreed it was an error on their behalf so the battle began.
Not the relaxing start to the day that I had wanted.

Well thankfully the taxi arrived and DGD and I are in the departure lounge with around an hour till we can go to the gates.
My bag was checked in with one for the hold as the flight is a full one, so at least I only have one suitcase to carry and DGD to steer around the airport.
She would like to go to the kid zone, when I have finished my drink.
    Let the holidays commence. X

The weather is rather iffy. So DGD is swimming in the little indoor pool, along with most of the other kids.
Although she has braved the cold of the large outdoor pool, very few dare to do.
The food is plentiful and I will need to get on a healthy kick when I get home!
I get a discount in the bar as I have been a frequent visitor so that has helped the funds go further.
Tomorrow I am hiring a car for the rest of the holidays as we can't rely on the weather.
And I am rather bored doing nothing after two days.
I am usually so busy I find myself thinking about the shop, finances, and home projects and then get frustrated that I can't do much about anything from here.
Have had some pleasant company with some other families and one family who left today live further up the Coast between Lisbon and Porto, and it was interesting to get their views of living and working out here.

Yesterday was a total washout. Apart from getting the bus down to the town and a little walk to find the car hire firm we spent the day in and around the hotel, managed to get DGD to have a sleep in the afternoon, and I tried as well.
I meant to have an early night but we got into a group of people and it was 11pm before I went to bed.
The sun is trying to shine today so I hope we will have a good day for going to the Zoomarine

The weather was better today and our trip to the Zoomarine was successful, and I didn't get lost driving either!
Bit it is still cold here compared to when I was here in January and I don't have enough warm clothes with me.
My cardigan is not exactly an appealing garment for going out in! Some how I packed enough for DGD but not for me. Bad planning!
I'm hoping the next few days will be warmer.
DGDs little friends have all gone home now, so she's a little lost this evening.
    I'm relieved for the peace.

The sun came out and we have spent the afternoon by the pool. DGD is I and out of it playing with the other children here. Makes life easier for me- mostly although did have a scary moment yesterday when another child took her inflatable away and threw her ball in the opposite direction- the deep end and she started to get tired and both the life guard and I were up like a shot. She did manage to get to the side, but he did pull her out. I ended up getting in to rescue the toys afterwards and boy it was so cold it took my breath away.
I won't be swimming in that one. Doesn't seem to stop the kids though!
I am eating far too much, and drinking a little more than I should probably.
Back home to healthy eating and walking to work and school when we get back.
I'm itching to get back to work now though.
