What is a thermal cooking bag?

A thermal cooking bag is an insulated bag that we use to slow cook with.
I have been making them and selling them for a while. The original is called a Wonderbag and was about £80 when they first came to the uk. Non of us could afford them so we started to make them.
The idea is that you gather all your ingredients together in a pan with a lid, bring to the boil and then once it's been boiling for about 5-10 minutes you take it off the heat, put it straight in the bag, close the draw string and leave it. No peaking. And approx 5 to 6 hours later you have a slow cooked meal, with only 10 minutes use of fuel.
You can see them on my Facebook page or website or google the original and they are now on Amazon, recipes etc are on Pinterest too.

Morning everyone. Lovely to see lots of familiar names cheering from the sidelines.
I am in work, the shop is open although I put 10am on the website.
But you never know if anyone might come.
It gives me a chance to look at the place with a critical eye, look at what work staff have to do when they arrive, and indeed plan what I will be doing.
As I expect it to be very very quiet I may do a bit of a stock take, and see what we will need to fill the gaps, what I will need to sell off, or stop doing etc
As its a huge reflection time for me at home so it is here in the little shop.
I walked to work, as its so mild, and am beginning to regret it as my back is bad, I have done too much walking lately and yesterday I did about 10km!! So the app on my phone tells me.
DGD skyped me yesterday, she's nearly ready to come home.

Evening. Well I was surprised that I had customers in with jobs and for collections from 10.15.
I did the jobs as they came in, and was pleased that I was able to do them at a steady pace. The other seamstress did a lot of the jobs I'd kept back for her. We have a day of design and planning tomorrow with one customer who we make clothes for.

I have the remnants of the jobs I did today, and will reflect on what I can make outside of work hours.

Thanks. I came by it by accident rather then design!
I may be making quite a few patch works this year but not so sure about tapestries but it fits.
I have sat unpicking the hems I'd cut off of the trousers that came in today and been thinking about what I can make with them. I shall gather the wastage and see whatever I can turn it into. Even if it's strips to use on rag wreaths later in the year.
But for now I'm going to have an early night. I'm really tired.

On the budget front, my money came in a day early, so 10% was put on the credit card, and 10% into the savings account.
    I spent 49p on milk.

My DGD is home. It's been a strange week without her, but we now have 5 days together before she goes back to school, and tomorrow we start to blitz her bedroom so we can fit in the mountain of things that she brought home. Had a nice surprise at lunchtime with my brother back up at Mums, they came over to Brackley and when I had closed for the day at 1pm we met for lunch at the bottom of our road in one of the pubs. Even better I didn't have to pay. So that has resulted in a second no spend day.
Work was quiet, and only £22 in. However I did a few rescue stitches on a soft toy, stitched an army badge on a uniform, and added a pull to a disabled mans coat, as he'd broken the zip pull.
But I will be told off by my staff as I didn't charge for them.
Did discuss the future makes for one of my whackier clients.
