Hi Mooloo, sorry to hear you are under the weather. When you're running a business, especially if it's on your own, it's SO important to pace yourself. And to have a real day off, not a day where you rush around trying to get all the things done you didn't get done during the week. hard I know when you have a shop open 6 days a week.

I have had an invite from the doctors for a health check. I think that I shall book one.
I have taken a gamble and changed my opening hours from 9.30 till 10am
I'm hoping it won't make much of a difference to the shop, but it will mean I can work on reduced wages. I'm considering whether to close st 4pm rather then 5pm as its not usually very busy, but so far I've only changed the times on the website which I have been working on this evening.
Managed to get my logo back on it which is good.
But I am still having problems with pictures.
I have done a very rough food menu plan for the coming week.
We didn't eat all the spaghetti and meatballs I made, so we will just have them again tomorrow.
Tuesday I plan to make my own chicken nuggets and chips as the potatoes need using up. I may cook a chicken breast extra to use cold sliced in lunches.
DGD has gone off bread so it's wraps.
I may have to see if I can make my own and freeze them. But I have a packet in the cupboard for this week.
Wednesday I will base it on diced beef
Thursday probably curry the day befores meal
Friday DGD has a brownies panto to go to so it will be chips from the chippy as she has to be at the bus for 5.15
I will have to leave work early to collect her early and get her changed and fed.
I'm wondering about Saturday still, but probably make do depending on what's left.
On Sunday we might go out to lunch with my mum.

Lunches for DGD will be wraps, crisps, yoghurt and fruit.
Mine will be soups and ryevita

Breakfast varies between cereal and fruit salad or pain au chocolait.

I have £6.88 of last weeks grocery budget left and tomorrow I can add £25 to it. So I can buy the wraps, crisps, yoghurt and more pain au chocolait.

Last lazy start to the day.
We are taking my Mum shopping, so I am hoping that we dodge the rain etc. She's so frail these days.
My cousin has been intouch to say my uncle is frail, so the cloud of impending doom seems to be hovering. I must see if mum wants to go to Dublin to visit. ( hopefully not next week when I'm supposed to be going to Portugal for a long weekend to celebrate a friends birthday- last year I was supposed to go when Dad died.).

On a cheery note there was enough money in the bank to pay the staff and to still pay me my £20.

So time to make a move.

    Food shopping £16.66
    Household. £11.94
    Stamp. £1.00

So not a NSD here. However I changed my Sky Package saving me £338.87 over the next 12 months.
While st it, I managed to reduce the shops Electric DD to £72 a month saving me £28 a month until my next review in August. That should leave me on a 0.00 bill if we use the same amount of fuel between now and then as I was £176 in credit.
    So I'm happy.
Dinner is left over meatballs and spaghetti.
My Mum got the things she wanted and we discussed going to Dublin soon to see her brother. She hasn't seen him in 20 odd years.
We looked at deals on Ryan air. And travel republic sites to get prices. We had a look for February, as I'm away in 10 days for a few and can't leave the shop too often!
Mum has decided she may split her holidays and do France in May and September rather then a two month stay like last year.

DGD is ready to go back to school tomorrow, she is rather board at the moment. Dispite all her gadgets and Lego etc she needs children's company.
I'm ready to get to work as I'm bored being at home now.

They are about the same for the children's, but more for the other courses.
I have book marked the link. I shall do a bit more research and adjust my ones later on if I can.
    Thankyou

    Hello Mooloo,

Long term lurker here! Have a look at Aer Lingus for cheap flights to Dublin, they currently have a sale with flights from BHX to Dublin for £19:99 each way, it has been cheaper than Ryannair for both of my last two flights to Dublin. Hope that helps,

    Right back off to lurkdom!

Me "monkey it's time to get up"
DGD "granny I didn't tell you last night but I'm ill"
    Me" no your not I'll"
DGD " but granny I feel sick" forced eyes tight shut to squeeze out tears
Me "monkey your not sick and I'm going to work so you have to go to school"

Guess the fun and games begin, as the stand off starts.

I then explained it's nerves and not I'll she is feeling because she has a new teacher ( yet another new teacher), and think how he must feel with 28 or 29 of you all to meet and put st ease. Then she said 29 normally and I said little J had left, but there might be a new pupil.
She already knows the class room, the children, the routine but what if there is somebody new? You could take them and be their friend, and show them the school?
Uniform is now on the radiator warming.
We have 15 minutes to get ready left.
    Mmmm

So the mystery payment in my business account is the fact that someone accepted an Anerican Express card. So there is now all the paperwork sitting on my desk from AE thanking me for becoming part of their business.
So a fee of 1.9% for using it. Not so good.

So I am at work, it's like an ice block in here and I forgot my thick cardigan. ( so heating has gone on!).
Time to attack the paperwork and clear the Christmas window!
