Dgd has tonsilitus and is now on Penicillin and I have a viral infection, so take lots of water and paracetamol.
I feel awful, and have started to get a cough and a hoarse throat this morning.
Now we are back from the doctors it's hanker down and rest. Not easy as my mind is on the business. But realistically I can't do much and need to get both of us better before anything else.

DGD " granny you look like a dead zombie!"
    Sums it up nicely then.
I feel like it too. Spent the last 24 hours in and out of hot and cold sweats, had to change in the night and change the bed this morning. Sort of. I put the duvet on top of its cover as I don't have the energy to put it in.
DGD said go back to sleep granny.
    Blessher

I hope you and the little one get well soon. At least today is half day for your business. I want to say make sure you always have a few hours of down time in a day, but it's so hard when you're on your own, with a business and young child(ren) to look after and have an elderly relative, so two households to keep an eye on rather than one.

Before we came back home, I was working in another country and went through a period where I lived a type A personality life, working myself into the ground. Then I went through a winter where I seemed to pick up more colds and bugs going around that usual, a couple of which knocked me on my back. It was a wake up call. Within six months I'd resigned and come home and started working for myself.

After running the pubs etc in the past I thought my work load now was manageable. I try hard not to work every day and try to have family time. I think that at the moment it's just my time to get the bug. I've actually been quite well these last few years considering how ill I had been.

Not exactly feeling human but the temperature is beginning to come down its just over 100 now.
Still can't face food and am coughing heavily, but I have managed to stay awake for the afternoon which is a help.
DGD is starting to feel better, she's eating again and talking about school.
I had a message to say my son was coming to see me but he's not arrived. I hope he's ok. He went out without his phone apparently.

My son never came in the end.
I drifted in and out of sleep a little but the coughing kept me awake most of the night. I am struggling, had to get Biggest of Mooloo's to bring me over cough mixture, bread and some to dinners I can bung in the microwave. She heated us up some soup, and got DGD in the bath and washed her hair and stayed while I had a shower. Thank goodness for the bath board.
But that's me done for now.
My ribs and tummy muscles ache, and I've managed to loose about 4lb in weight!
    Not that I was trying.
Biggest had to go then as she has the school run to do.
DGD is looking and sounding much better. Perhaps were finally turning the corner.

These things take time, especially getting over a virus. That's why it's so important to pace yourself. Especially in the recovery stage.

I don't plan to do anything else today. I will probably stay at home tomorrow as well. I've asked my sewing lady to do the children's party on Saturday as I don't want to cough and splutter over them.
I hope that will give me enough time to recover. I'm obviously concerned about my business suffering. But time will tell me that one. I just hope by Monday I will be on form enough to get back and sew even if I stay off the shop floor and work up on the top deck.
But the way I feel at the moment it seems a very long way off.

Another rough night. Trying not to feel sorry for myself and remembering that I have friends who are really ill, and I shouldn't be complaining, but oh I am struggling. I had to change me and the bed last night in the wee small hours as I was drenched with sweat. My coughing is making me wretch, and I wasn't able to swallow the paracetamol in the end. Just made me sick.
I'm now the opposite and cold, and the headache is back. This is not going away very soon!
But my brain has been active and flitting from one thing to another so something must be on the mend, either that or it's just short fused.
I'm going to have a cup of tea here in bed, then will slowly venture up etc.
It's obviously going to be another long day at home. But at least we have bread and milk and soup still.

    Larangitis now!
Chest pain Is from coughing but it hasn't got to my lungs.
Looking after me is more important than work and money- so the doctor said. I have to rest. Right. Ok. That's what I am doing and it's really not helping me.
