eglobal central uk (avoid)!!!!!!!

not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes

on the 11th december i purchased a camera from eglobal central uk
as i was nice and cheap compared to other camera stores
i know this company is based in hong kong and i read revies before buying and all seemed ok
so i went ahead and purchased on the 11th december and was told in email i would expect the item within 6-8 working day so it got nearer to my expected delivery time and i recived an email from
dpd stating my trtacker number etc so i began to get excited about receiveing my order
so i started looking on dpd on a dailiy basis and it is stated

16 Dec 2015 07:15Logistics SolutionsYour parcel is on its way
and to this day it is still the same so i decided to contact dpd about this parcel
as i was begining to worry that my parcel had been lost at dpd
they replied to my email and stated
I'm sorry to hear that you have not yet received your order from D G S Group Ltd, I've tracked this parcel for you and we have not yet been provided this parcel to deliver to you. All we have received is the label data that provides DPD with your details for delivery.

I must refer you to D G S Group Ltd and they will be able to dispatch this order for you asap.

I'm very sorry about this.

so i imediatly searched for eglobal centrals contact details and could not find there live chat
on there website even though stated all over the site they have it and couldnt find a number either
so i had to email them

i emailed and asked where and when will i recieve my item about 7 times and did not recieve no email back to this day after not getting any reply i logged a paypal disput with them and they still did not reply
i have now logged a paypal claim and they now have until the 3rd january to reply
and still have not received any contact with eglobal central uk

after looking further into the company i noticed that on trust pilot website

that there was alot of 1 star reviews that had what looked like 100`s of people in the same situation as me where some had ordered in november and still awaiting there parcel as of now
after checking trustpilot on a daily basis i began to notice that eglobal central report almost every singe bad review so any consumer would see the company is good

i really want to get the message out there and get any advice on what i can do also is there anyone else currently having problems with this company

i heard this company used to be pretty good but the last couple of months something has gone wrong

I think you should post this in Consumer Rights section. Whilst it is related to a Techie item, your problem seems to be one of non/poor performance.

You also might like to revert to 'left justification' of your post's text when you repost it, because in the current 'centre justification' it is almost unreadable...

One must be very naive to think that a company without an address, telephone number and even a e-mail address can be 'good'.

The only it has to do with UK is "uk" in the name that must ring a bell as it's more common for chinese companies than for any genuine UK companies.

I'd cancel my order and contact my debit/credit card company ASAP for chargeback.

You may have to resort to Chargeback rather than a refund from the company itself !

Problem is, by using Paypal as an intermediary in the payment chain, his credit card supplier has no liability in the matter. One of the reasons I avoid Paypal like the plague. Martin Lewis did an article on this not so long ago.

This is for Section 75. Chargeback is possible, although Paypal don't like this.

Not sure what good it will do, since they probably have lots more other names to trade under.

I passed through Hong Kong about a year ago, and it's not really cheap any more. You can take the train into China, to Shenzhen, and it's maybe 10% cheaper. With postage, you might as well buy in the UK.

It's a myth from 30 years ago, that things are cheaper in Hong Kong.

I bought and paid for an item through Paypal recently. After 7 days I checked the company's website to find that it had gone into receivership. I contacted Paypal with links to the website and the Official Receivers, and had my money back within the week with no hassle. I was quite impressed.

Yes, PP are good with refunds. However, if they refuse, chargeback is still possible when the card company takes money from PP against their wish. This is what they don't like.

The OP "has now logged a paypal claim "

Its coming from China, 2 weeks average for me anyway. Add in at least another week for xmas so it maybe on its way to you.

As mentioned though you really should check the contacts of unknown websites especially ones where the contact page says several ways to contact them with non clearly visible and many of the links do not actually work.
