Phew!!! I've rung up and paid off 2 more debts in full after my BACS payment hit my account yaaasssssss! In terms of my debts I now only have 1 non CCJ debt left to pay which I should be able to pay on Friday!
I decided to clear these first then pay for my holiday, as this will help build up my credit file that little bit quicker. Plus Thomas Cook don't send you letters in red writing or those robotic text messages!
It feels so good getting a handle on things, gonna be celebrating Friday when the last ones done and I can move on to paying my holiday and topping up my emergency fund.
And then tackling my CCJS! although I feel like I need a rest for a week or 2 ha ha.:staradmin :staradmin Emergency Fund @ £300 Non CCJ Debts x 7 @ £2782/ £4055 PAID! New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
Weirdly come home to 2 letters from the tax office. One says they own me £265 from 2011/12 and then the other saying I owe £235 from 2012/13!!! How does this happen, I'm on PAYE?!? The debt letter says they will contact me for payment and the credit letter says it will be paid back via my deductions.
I have been suspicious that's somethings weird is happening with my current tax; I haven't had a pay slip since August (although I've been paid). I'm scared to ask / know to be honest.
But it sounds like I'll be £35 up..... Although no letter yet for 2013/14 or 2014/15....:staradmin :staradmin Emergency Fund @ £300 Non CCJ Debts x 7 @ £2782/ £4055 PAID! Yeah I am 99% positive my employer hasn't been paying my tax, my wages in my bank are as if they have been deducted but no wage slips since August. I got another letter today saying they want to agree a new tax code but can't because I dont have a wage. I have spoken to the MD and apparently its all being sorted soon as we have a new accountant. I hate working for such a shady company!:staradmin :staradmin Emergency Fund @ £300 Non CCJ Debts x 7 @ £2782/ £4055 PAID! Soooooo yaaasssssss I have now paid off ALL my immediates!! A combination of saving from my weekly wage and from PPI payouts. I just need to pause a moment and absorb how much of a Queen I feel right now
I hit 20% of my Goal
Thats better!
I heard back from another PPI claim, it was before they were regulated so I am unable to persue it; although they are vague about when they added it to my account so I am at least going to ask the question, as they are confident it was before they were regulated but don't know the date?
I had another form back for another PPI claim which I will fill in and send off Monday, its only £20 if thats but I may as well. I got a £5 boots card for complaining about a product. I have a nice little balance in my Paypal from my ebay challenge, this weekend is my final push for February, so thats gonna be my Sunday. Will be putting it into my emergency fund!
I do now have a tax bill to resolve as for some reason, despite being on PAYE I underpaid my tax by £500?!?! Although they owe me from the previous year so its whittled down to £233. I seem to have the option for tax code deduction so I might just go for that instead.
I also went to my first wedding fair today.... 200 quid for cake... really? Thats bloody daft, I will be spending less on my dress! £30 for shoes is OK. Must buy one of those silly Wedding Magazines full of adverts so I can get a proper checklist!
So looking forward! I want to get my emergency fund up to £500 and pay off the rest of my June holiday before I look at my CCJ's. So my next mini goals is to get those paid off by the end of April. I am assuming no more payouts from my PPI claims so I plan to do this from salary. If I do get any PPI payments then I will see how they fit into my CCJ's.

Having the incredible coupon culture here in the UK is a huge fantasy (seconded only to my one about Tom Hardy cleaning my house in his boxers). Hi Kittycashcake - I was very lucky to have a few friends with cake ambitions, so got my cake so much cheaper than I would otherwise. Anyone you know with the skills? Perhaps even a simple cake decorated with lots of figures to match your theme?
I spent £35 on my dress and £30 on shoes with a matching clutch, £30 on my hat, £2 on chiffon and I had my goggles anyway. I think it's good if you can set your max budget for everything you want and then see if you can beat it, but you can certainly beat the commercial prices out there,
One thing I will advise, if making your own invites, get the envelopes sorted first - it's much easier to match invites to enveloped than vice versa!
You can also use Facebook, but be aware a lot of your friends might not notice an invite done that way, so take time to individually message. I recently got an invite this way, and my friend designed a 'save the date' image too - really made it stick in my mind!Keep reading books!

I'm exactly the same! Almost, 34 months until I'm 40 , and I too aim to be debt free then too, exacpt for an ongoing debt to my parents.
First addressed it in 2012 when my MBNA £13k balance was put on a 0% interest repayment plan. So far I have cleared one full debt, Natwest overdraft.
Other than about £600 on Capital One card everything else is no higher than 10% interest, average about 6% .If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun. Life is far far too short to be grumpy!!!!0
