Is that the holiday completely done? That's fabby. One more objective ticked off the list! You're going to be finishing this year way different to how you started it! In fact the way you're going this summer! X

No this is the tiddler that I consolidated into the big one, that was 13k so I'm guessing depending on all the interest etc should be 2-4k. That ones with FSCS and will be a few months I think. That would be my biggest one if I'm successful so I'm nervous about it.

I did come home to my cheque from Capital One which I'll be skipping down to the bank with tomorrow:-))

Not much new to report, I am awaiting my BACs payment for Aviva, I deposited my cheque from Capital One... 5 working days to be withdraw it but 7 days for it to actually clear, I mean seriously in this day and age how are cheques still so slow?!?

Most of the people I contacted last weekend haven't had the courtesy of getting back to me, even to tell me to bog off. I am off holiday Monday so I will spend the day chasing everyone up. I might also treat myself to a trampoline class, but its £8 eeek.

My spends were OK till Thursdays then I saw a deal on some T-shirts that I fell in love with £30 later. I know I should have spend this on my debt but meh, being plus sized I have to leap on deals for cute things that fit me as it doesn't happen very often. They had He-Man and Skeleton on so yeah whatever man, I can't hear you!

I did pay off one of my debts, so looking forward to next weekend when I can report on more being paid off!!!

The Ebay challenge is doing OK, irritated this is the first month in ages where they haven't sent me a 100 free listings email, I don't want to pay 35p each for no good reason! I plan to post some things on some of the other sites and see how I go. At the very least I will get some auctions saved and ready for next month.

Off out tomorrow with the OH for a very yummy all you can eat restaurant. I know that sounds very unromantic but the food is amazing and has won loads of awards. Plus I am greedy and we can waddle home to do the romance thing. And I am going to be proposing to my fianc!e tomorrow! Yes we have been engaged for a year but now its my turn to do the thing with the one knee as its leap year and all that. I am weirdly nervous.

In homage to my big fat dinner tomorrow heres a fat cat begging for dollar

    Hangover as predicted!

Had the day booked off work so I decided to spend it reading and generally fannying about. But then I had another stab at my dirty dozen - PPI contacts & companies / to push things along and made some progress.

I chased a cheque I was told was going to be reissued to me on 11/1/2016, they said it should be with me by the end of the month. I had a moan.

I chased up the cheque refund for £2.80 that the PPI operator was shirty about when I initially called, as I soon as I spoke to her a month ago I knew she wasn't going to do anything about it, turns she didn't, so now thats going through again / at last. I know its petty but its my money!

I did get a holding letter from Littlewoods about an account, saying they will get back to me or if they can't resolve will send another holding letter in 4 more weeks. Progress at least! I also mentioned that I had a Kays account too, that I had emailed in about that but not heard, the man checked and yes I did and yes there was PPI, only a few pounds, but again, I have no shame.

Then I called JD Williams, who I had apparently lots of accounts with, they confirmed that just 1 had PPI, my Ambrose Wilson so they are going to send me a holding letter whilst they investigate. she said that they will trace the call where I agreed to it and send me the tape recording!!! Basically my mind went to Liam Neeson

    200-8.gif

So yeah, I look forward to possibly hearing a 10 year old recording of me!! I can't remember agreeing but I am interested about that recording! Fair play to them if they keep records going back that far!

So my Dirty Dozen now stands at:
    1 Payment Received
    2 Payments Promised
    5 Being Investigated

I still have no idea what to expect, maybe I won't get another penny * shrug* but at least now I know where I stand and what possibilities I have. I won't chase anyone now for another few weeks.

As a side not my ebaying has gone well, although shakes fist at them for now giving me loads of free listings like they usually do. So I am going to stop being slack and use other places like facebook and see how I go.

Just smashed through a delicious homemade Jerk chicken and rice... 9/10 if I do say so myself. I have soooo many sauces, jars, herbs, pastes etc in the cupboard, I keep forgetting they are there so I am going to make a huge effort to not buy any more until they are all gone, I hate wasting things and I don't like spending money if I can help it. Its time to start having "crazy dinners" again in my house!
