    Yeokens? What are they?

They're codes on Yeo Valley dairy products that you can exchange for things (like when PG tips had their cuppa club). I think I've had an apron, tea towel, bag for life, yoyo and a honey drizzler! I think it's running until march, have a look at their website :)

Today I went to Mr S's and got:

    2 key lime pies for £1.50 - saving £1.50
    Price discounts £3.80

    No road kill... :(

Nectar points I'll count when I spend and 50 points for a YouGov survey.

So a total of £5.30 today

    Hi fellow wombles

I need some help with my money-saving counting up today please!

Just before we were flooded, our Dyson started to give up, so went to live in the garage for emergency use only, and was replaced by a Vax Cordless machine which is next to useless and hugely irritating. I was sucked in (pun intended) by the advert that shows it working effectively, without fuss...hmmm...when faced with three lots of dog hair and the dust and grot of family life, it's another matter.

Well, I've given it 3 months and it's still carp, so took advantage of the Tesco offer of £100 off the Dyson model I've been hankering after for a while, plus 1000 extra points on top of the usual amount. Result!

Query is now arising as the insurers have written off the original Dyson as it got water damaged and doesn't work at all now and will give me the replacement cost of a new one :j So....can I a) womble the RRP of the vacuum cleaner, plus the 1000 extra card points, b) just the £100 (as I was going to buy it anyway) money off amount, plus the extra card points or c) just the card points? What is the monetary value of 1000 Clubcard points anyway? A tenner in store or up to £40 in deals?

Oh, and four eggs today - 40p. I'll update once I've had a think about what, if any option a, b or c is fair...Sorry for the random ramble :o

    Bob,

The 1st car was a couple who had a windfall, knew I needed a car and bought one for me!

The other time some friends were getting a new car and gave me their old one. I offered to pay them but they wouldn't have it.

Like I said, I have wonderful friends.

I've done the same from time to time. Not with cars though...

Wow. Do you still have either of them?

Just four eggies and a 20p found whilst cleaning the bathroom, so 60p to add for today.

DH may have wombled us some more chickens as one of his customers is an egg farmer and is happy to donate some "older" hens who only lay 4/5 days out of 7. Still undecided about whether or not to accept as we already get more eggs than we can eat!

I think I mentioned this before but is there any scope for garden gate egg sales? Bit of a side line..

I'd think option A. I'm not sure about the value of Mr T points. Fab result on the insurance front.:T
