Asda delivery tonight with its couple of substitutions, price match vouchers and promotions has given me a total of £5.18 to add to my wombling total :j

DH has just told me he got a couple of T shirts and ceramic travel drinks mugs from a new sales rep today, but I'm going to wait to see what they're like before I calculate their worth. I'm really enjoying this thread and hearing everyone's lucky finds and money saved stories. :T.

OH went shopping earlier as he had a business meeting. Sadly milk isn't back on my Shopitize yet, so couldn't claim that, but managed 1p on COS

Hit payout on OpinionBar, but I won't count that until it hits my bank account :)

Had to nip to the shops as our kettle died, but got distracted by all the YS bargains...I spent quite a bit but saved £14.07, which I'm adding to my total. Got DH some rump steak for dinner which he will be delighted with.

    Good afternoon wombles,
What a wombling day I've had. Visited my mother this morning and she gave me loads of stuff people had brought to the house at Christmas and that she would never use. All added up to around £50, but I'll add £20 to my total for it. Also found 4 pennies over the last few days. Wombling total now £44.11

Ooh Dexsmummy - sounds like you got quite a haul!

Had a BT technician/engineer visit today to investigate an intermittent fault on our land line. Discovered that it's down to internal cable being used on the external wall. Knowing the previous owner, it doesn't surprise me much

However, due my fantastic tea-making skills, he has reconnected the house, using the right wire, replaced the internal master socket which would have cost £2.95 and left me 20m of external cream telephone cable, to blend in with the lime mortar on the front of our house for running phone points to other areas in the house (up to the second and third floors). External cream cable retails at about £1/m, but he left it with me FOC and no call-out charge either! I think he felt sorry for me, seeing the state of the [STRIKE]building yard[/STRIKE] house. I think it would be fair to add £7.95 for the socket and cable to my wombling total :o

I've still had no luck with finding pennies on my way to and from work when i walk. i thought it would have been an absolute goldmine! :rotfl:

I think it may have something to do with the fact that 3/4 of my route is where the school kids walk, the little hawk eyes.. and the other 1/4 is the city centre where there are quite a few homeless people so they will spot any takings the drunks drop on a night.

I will still keep my eyes peeled though. I'm still not sure whether to add the money I'm saving by walking into my total or not, i feel like thats cheating as the money was already my own. I'm just saving it rather than spending it on parking/bus.

There are some amazing wombles going on on the thread so far. well done guys! hearing about all of your hauls keeps me motivated :j
