Bob and everyoneelse can you let me know how and what you claim in your personal wombling totals eg how much sainsburys and Tescos points are worth etc
I f you use a money off coupon would you claim that amount?
If you are given gift cards as presents do you claim those as well when you use them?
Also can you recommend any phone apps that give rewards in vouchers rather than by bacs/PayPal as I prefer not to give out too many financial details.
Sorry for the ton of questions but gearing myself up for the new yr£2 savers club 2025 #40 -

How you calculate things is up to you. I count roadkill, gift money, cash back from sites like Quidco, foraged and home-grown food, items gifted to me e.g. my lovely cashmere scarf donated by DH's aunt when we helped her move house, coupons, found items (Bob's hoover was an amazing womble) and discount codes to name a few...No hard and fast "rules" but lots of fun in the reporting. Siebrie gets fabulous food wombles from work - jealous of that :rotfl:

Hello,
Would i be able to join for 2016 please? I never kept a total last year so i would be interesting to see how much i can wobble.
I went pretty quiet on the 2015 thread towards the end of the year, work and getting ready for christmas took hold. Its a shame really after a good year or staying on track.
I have a number of asdaprice receipts to check to see if there is anything on them for me to use, however i have no access to a printer until I'm back at work on the 5th to get the vouchers, so could I add them to my total then?
Thanks for the shiny new thread BobMortgage Feb 2023- £249,210 MFW 2023 #20: £524.05/£500 (104.81%)0 -

Count me in for 2016 (lurked for the whole of 2015!)
Sorted out the lost property box at work yesterday and came home with a bag of bits that with a wash or a clean will get added to my ever growing carboot box for when the weather gets a bit warmer; the prize of which was a swiss pen knife! Shame i've already got a couple! But after a clean up it will be on it's way out again.
My roadkill money so far for 2015 is £32.61 but I'm not out and about between now and 1st so I don't think it's going to get any bigger! Decided to donate £10 of it (the £10 I found floating round a carpark) to my favourite charity and then be very rock and roll and save the rest of it
Wishing you all the luck of a magpie for the new year!

I always thought this just referred to the vouchers and things people find in shops but am I correct in thinking that if someone gives you something that you yourself would have bought then this would also count through out the year? i.e. a piece of furniture, books, food/bottles of drink and stuff like that?
Sorry if I'm sounding a bit silly but not really familiar with this thread yet. I only ask as I have an aunt who never lets me leave her house without some sort of food item and I figure I should start tallying it up to see how much money I save each year on potatoes and loafs of bread etc :rotfl:
It doesn't sound silly at all. I think you should count the food value yes. And especially if it's food you would have had to buy yourself.
Maybe in other challenges it is only about coupons but I include anything that comes to me free and I remember to add to my score:)" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
