milasavesmoney....sounds like a plan. Good luck! :T
I have enough toiletries and cleaning items for at least the next two years. I have challenged myself not to buy any until all is used up.
Hi Funbrum I am doing exactly the same thing, upon moving out of my flat I realised I am a toiletries hoarder...lots of shower gels, body butters, face moisturizers & lipbalm to use for the next few yearsFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -

This is the place to be miss empty penny! Glad you are joining us.
I was hoping for a NSD but had to send OH to the store for cough syrup plus a box of cold and flu tablets. He came back with multiples of everything... 4 bottles of cough syrup and two boxes of tablets! My guess is he doesn't want to go again, in case some one else gets sick (reasonable), but it was very expensive!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Wow I can only imagine. I hope that you are feeling better soon milasavesmoney.
I've rented a rotivator for the garden and I'm sat looking at it through the giant raindrops and thinking that I'll recover the blinds in the living room first in the hope that it might stop raining before I HAVE to get out there.
I've got it all weekend so maybe tomorrow - except I'm going to a party tonight so don't want to have to do that horrible job while hungover x x x It's official - My name is miss empty piggy and I am a procrastinator. Have a great day everyone.0 -
Good morning everyone - well the garden wasteland is cleared and I ache. I could hardly move the rotivator and feared I would break it (I have a history) so despite paying £42.00 to hire it for the weekend I haven't actually used it. It is going back so hopefully I will get some of that back. I've also got a petrol can with £5 worth of petrol in it which I think I will give to my niece for her car - she's only 17 and is just learning so there's no point in it sitting in the garage as my car is diesel.
So not very frugal - but lesson learnt if nothing else, and I've been productive which always feels good. Have a great day everyone.0 -
You sound like you are doing well miss empty piggy. Having had an allotment in the past I know what hard work clearing ground can be.
Have been attempting to sell car on Ebay without any luck. Lots of bids, but unfortunately the person who won changed their mind and didn't pay for it or turn up to collect  Anyway, I have put it up the drive and cancelled tax and insurance as we can't use it without MOT.
Been diagnosed with diabetes, so food bill will be increasing a bit! No more YS bread for me! Good news is I have lost 4 lb this week, by cutting the carbs and eating more fresh veg.
Got my summer clothes out ready foe my hols next week. Black linen trousers looking a bit grey and washed out. Got a black Dylon and dyed 5 pairs for £6. They look like new again!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying within budget. Have had a few significant birthdays this week, so I have gone over. Need to try to recoup this somewhere else to stay on track.0 -
Today is first NSD of the month.
OH left for fishing trip, so I'll be free to do as I please and cook what I like. He does not like to eat leftovers (my freezer is my friend) but I love to make a big pot of something and eat on it for days.
Everyone needs a relationship break now and then. I'll be missing him by the end of the week, but right now I'm feeling the freedom! :j
I've been calling home insurance and making sure we are getting a good rate. I stayed with my current company as it's still the best deal (US) I can find. It's a good feeling now that that's done.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Hello everyone, I've been busy batch cooking and putting the extra portions into the freezer. I've got 2kg of cherry tomatoes for 24p and 1 and ahalf kg of parsnips for 8p I got them yesterday YS. So today I've made relish out of 1200g the others will be oven dried in oil and garlic tomorrow. The parsnips have become spicy mash and divided into 3 and in the freezer. I acquired a newish upright freezer from a friend last week for £30 she only bought it last June and realised its too small for her and doesn't have the room to keep it. So I've now got an extra freezer. xWhy pay full price when you may get it YS0
