I received my pack yesterday too, thinking of booking La Croix Du Vieux Pont again as we loved it there last time and it wasn't too far from Disney. But just wondering if there is anywhere closer which is as nice?

I'm also thinking of a UK break too, not sure where yet. Last year we did Hafan Y Mor in North Wales and Haggerston Castle in Berwick. I'd like to try Cornwall, can anyone recommend where?

Hello we've done Parkdean St Minver... We loved it!

Not sure when your schools are on their summer holidays, but for our schools there are only two dates for the summer holidays in the current Sun holidays offering, namely the 3 night breaks starting on Friday 22 July and on 2 September.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Has anyone been to Haven Hafan Y Mor in North Wales on a Sun holiday? If so, where is the allocation? Is 'standard' a caravan or chalet as they have both at the park. I only ask because standard caravans have no heating in the bedrooms so would be looking at taking extra blankets at Easter. :o:o

Disregard my previous answer, it was Torquay not (Hafan Y Mor ) where others were not happy with their Chalets. We stayed at both in 2010.

The standard accommodation at Hafan Y Mor was a Chalet , it was along way to carry our Luggage, but once inside it was warm and comfortable in late October.

I've been to Hafan Y Mor twice on a Sun holiday. The first time we were in an apartment which was really nice and had recently been renovated with nice kitchen, bathroom and proper radiators throughout. The second time we were in a caravan which was a bit basic and had only a gas fire in the living room. Both were standard accommodation. So I suppose it all depends what they give you. I always go prepared in case it's cold.

I was in Hafan Y Mor last year, and they have two types of Chalets

One which as Steph said are great and the other is like a concentration camp, two story and well past their holiday use, we were allocated one of the latter and complained and was upgraded to the nice ones.

Having said that, the beach is not the best either and one side of the camp borders onto a sewerage plant close to the beach.

But the area is great to get around Snowdonia, Portmadog, Portmeirion and there are great little railway journeys to Bleanau FFestiniog.

WE had a great time once the accommodation was sorted.

If you book a 3 night and a 4 night which runs consecutive, will the park automatically book you in to 1 accommodation or do you have to ask them.

I had that at Butlins Bognor
They wouldn't let me stay in the chalet and then booked the same chalet for the remainder anyway lol
After packing and taking suitcases to the left luggage place I was not impressed
