I was in Hafan Y Mor last year, and they have two types of Chalets

One which as Steph said are great and the other is like a concentration camp, two story and well past their holiday use, we were allocated one of the latter and complained and was upgraded to the nice ones.

Having said that, the beach is not the best either and one side of the camp borders onto a sewerage plant close to the beach.

But the area is great to get around Snowdonia, Portmadog, Portmeirion and there are great little railway journeys to Bleanau FFestiniog.

WE had a great time once the accommodation was sorted.

It used to be Butlins, that's where the 2story chalets come from

what's the difference between sun perks & previous bookers when it comes to booking your holiday???

Last year when it was Sun+ v Priority bookers, they opened the websites at the same time then the Sun+ website crashed meaning all the people who had actually shelled out cash to the Sun were at a disadvantage. Won't be making that mistake this year, have both Priority code and Sun Perks membership.
    Joovce, Joovce you want me to spell, it's a J, V, C.
  • Well I'm having a lovely evening, browsing holidays and matching them up with National Express services from home or nearby cities. Hoping my research and my preference for a term time break will pay off on Sunday. :)

I had that at Butlins Bognor
They wouldn't let me stay in the chalet and then booked the same chalet for the remainder anyway lol
After packing and taking suitcases to the left luggage place I was not impressed

MMmmmm.... That wasn`t the answer I was hoping for. Seems silly vacating the place from 10am to be relocated at 4pm.

I think I will ring the Parkdean site when I get the final bill.

I stayed their back in the Butlin days as well (1994 I think). The single story chalet/apartment I was allocated as standard accommodation in 2010, was a massive step up from then.

At Butlins Bognor I stay in those 2 story Chalets if I'm not in a room.
Still got the old chalet baths in them.
I kind of like it,Retro is cool, and if the heating's on they stay warm.

If you book a 3 night and a 4 night which runs consecutive, will the park automatically book you in to 1 accommodation or do you have to ask them.

    Roy

Ask the park, they will usually say that they will make a note but can't guarantee it, that's what I've found with Haven & Hoburne, but I've always been able to stay in the same one. It's in their interest as well as yours as it saves them cleaning it twice.

One thing to note if you are hiring linen, I always ask them to remove it from the second booking and say that if I get allocated different units I will take it with me for the consecutive break, they are fine with this.

Just booked by traditionally sun break with the breakfree site and got the date I wanted and the park I wanted for almost the same price. its defninately worth a look if you have a date or park in mind.

All thanks to this forum :)

I average around 6 newspaper hols a year, I always pay the extra 50p per person to Breakfree, to make sure I get the parks and dates I want that are in both promotions. Then cross my fingers, and hope I can get the rest from the Sun.
